THIS SATURDAY: SIMO SOO @simosoo AT @cafegummo_bar 🩷😈
-
“Simo Soo is prolific AF, there’s like a million Simo Soo releases and they’ve played shows with all yr fav artists in so many dream locations. Simo Soo makes hip hop with a whole bunch of punk, noise pop, footwork, Jersey club, found sounds and samples thrown on top. You ever heard anyone that sounds like Simo Soo? Maybe, but probs not tbh. Live shows are a physical embodiment of the music, a raging punk rap show with banter occasionally bordering on the bizarre and calls to arms to believe in what you do. This is music made for people who have to yell really loud to be heard.”

DEALERS OF GOD @dealersofgod [AU/SWE] 👽🌏 LIVE AT @cafegummo_bar

…With the incredible talents of…
RACERAGE @raceragerhymes
Simo Soo @simosoo
-
Re-emerging from the shadowy underbelly of so-called Burn City & the desolate wastelands of Sweden, DEALERS OF GOD bring you their final ‘australian’ performance for the foreseeable future.

Known for their subversion of all which is considered “good taste”, DEALERS OF GOD are a mysterious rotating crew of criminal masterminds who plunder from the depths of culture and art to the ongoing dismay of their fans and critics alike. The crew displays an unwavering dedication to performing under the most extreme conditions, exemplified by their run of 2023 shows performed entirely at various Opporto locations across Victoria.

Despite widespread criticism from international music publications, local law enforcement, Yarra City Council, and former Hilltop Hoods member “DJ Next”, Dealers of God continue to push the boundaries of both mental and physical human endurance.

First release tickets ONLY FIVE DOLLARS. That’s right. Grab them while you still can, link in bio & on story!

FRIDAY 22nd NOVEMBER // THE QUADRAPHONIC CLUB @quadraphonicclub

-

Wonk Division invites you to experience a taste of Naarm’s greatest bass music selectors, who will be bringing an arsenal of bassline, 4x4, dubstep, speedy g and more.

Known for it’s warping, wonky, acidic and bass-heavy sound, the Sheffield-born microgenre of bassline shook the UK underground scene in the early 2000’s. Despite its cult status, bassline has been severely under represented in the global dance music scene. WONK DIVISION is set to bring about a local bassline revolution, delivering a relentless onslaught of bass-heavy, off-kilter tunes that can’t be found anywhere else this side of the equator. taken in Brunswick, Victoria by @club.cryptic

🥳🛞Throwback to the first ever Club Cryptic last year!🛞🥳

We didn’t think this event could POSSIBLY top last years, but somehow it’s shaping up to be even bigger and better!! We’ve come so far already, and we’re so excited to continue learning, growing, creating, and imagining this fun, silly little world with you all.

Club Cryptic started out as a creative passion project. It came from a desire to break down the arbitrary siloes constructed within and between local music scenes and event spaces.

Part of this involves curating dynamic and diverse lineups, empowering artists to experiment and express themselves fearlessly and without limitations. And part of it is about the ongoing process of crafting a space that is comfortable, welcoming, exciting, and liberating for all who party with us.

It’s such a privilege to be able to bring this vision to life with you all, and to see how well it’s received.

While Club Cryptic’s origins are rooted in passion, it’s the people who actually show up who give it life and make it possible. We are eternally amazed by and grateful for your ongoing support, love, care, trust, and enthusiasm. Thank you for making Club Cryptic what it is ❤️

We can’t wait to see all your faces, new and old, on the dancefloor this Friday at the Retreat!

Incredible photos by the talented @overcastweather ❤️‍🔥

There are only 10 tickets left to 2CLUB2CRYPTIC! You can pick up one of these tickets via the link in our bio or story.

[Image descriptions in alt text and pinned comment] The event poster for 2CLUB2CRYPTIC. The poster is designed in the style of a magazine cover.
It features an illustration by Creater Zim of two women positioned in front of three drag racing cars and a royal blue background. One person is seated on the left hand side of the poster in a yellow tube top, skirt, and thigh-high boots. The other stands on the right hand side of the poster with one leg crossed behind her in a red sports bra with a white stripe and matching tracksuit pants.
The poster lists the event title, lineup, venue, date, and time (details caption) in bold, italicised fonts reminiscent of those used in racing magazine covers filled with bright blues, yellows and reds. There is a checkered white and black strip along the left hand side of the poster, and a barcode in the bottom right hand corner reading “2-CLUB-2-CRYPTIC” taken in The Retreat Hotel by @club.cryptic
