2 Free Patterns in 2 Days?! What?!
Merry Christmas to all of you—this is the only Christmas gifting I’ve gotten done, FYI 😂 Crochet Priorities you know.
Hope you all love this pattern and I can’t wait to see your Mean Beans—don’t forget to tag me!

Oh, and! The tutorial for the hair loops is pinned to my page. It is not featuring this pattern, but for another of my patterns using gray yarn, so don’t let that throw you off.

As always, I couldn’t do this without my wonderful testers. And also as always, everyone was kind, supportive, and spoke so encouragingly to each other, etc etc. I just love this community so much! Thank you all for making testing such a pleasant experience for me. Sending you each many happy 💚💚💚 hugs: @bloomingdaisycreations @wovenandwhimsy_crochet @crooked.tree.crochet @crochetingpastor @cmhandmadeco @shopstitchplease @bee_elle_creates @charmedbyrobyn

✨SAVE OR REPOST TO MAKE LATER!✨

Approaching 4k here, so it’s time for a FREE PATTERN! My present to you for all your continued love and support!

A note about ✈️🐓Zoomie Chicken 🐓✈️: The pattern says to place the eyes between R1-2, but because of the spiral rotation and construction of the chicken, my R1 tends to turn slightly left of center. Because of this, I have to put the left eye between R1-2 and the right eye between R3-4. So just center your eyes with your own spiral and tension!

I would like to say a big thank you to my testers!! I always love working in chatty, supportive groups. Everyone’s chickens turned out so great! Thank you for all your help ♥️

As a huge thank you for 700 SUBSCRIBERS, I’m releasing this opossum mod for my Market Mouse! It’s still no-sew and beginner friendly. It is slightly more advanced than Marker Mouse because of the additional color changes. The ears are a bit smaller than the mouse’s as well. Other than that, the pattern is consistent with the first! Please tag me if you decide to make this opossum mod. I love to see your creations! And thank you so, so much for all your support 🤍🩷🖤 Kala

When your crochet unintentionally matches the season’s decor, a beautifully complimentary background happens!

Look at this adorable Teenie Goose from @punyhumancrafts !! Perfect size and has so much spunk. Completed this guy as part of the @fly.into.fall.cal and I can’t be more pleased with the result.

Pattern 🪿: Teenie Goose from @punyhumancrafts
Yarn 🧶: @bernatyarn in Vintage White and Gold
Hook 🪝: 6.5mm

Loaf kitties prepped! I had ZERO in stock and now I have seven, including a uni-kitty! Using my fave loaf cat pattern by @loren.crochets . The ears in the round are perfect, only sewing is the tail. I just free-hand color changes depending on the cat. A simple cc is doing the first two rounds, bobble stitch feet, and tail tip with white.

Pattern 🐈: Charly Kitten (it’s FREE on her page!) by @loren.crochets
Yarn 🧶: Mostly Bernat Blanket in Beach Foam, Dove Tweed, Vintage White, Coal, Almond, and Pitter Patter.
Hook 🪝: 6.5mm
Eyes 👀: 16mm from Amazon by @cluckandbuzzcrochet

Once again, I get distracted while trying to market prep… at least I made some Mabel Chickens? Check out a few custom orders, a pattern test, a CAL, and my Super Dumplin Release in the not-market-prepping meantime.

Finally finished this adorable little owl from @crochet.by.beck as part of the @fly.into.fall.cal . He is so cute and cuddly! Just love how he turned out.

Of course when I went outside to take pictures, the chickens were all very curious and had to follow me in case treats were involved 😂.

Pattern 🦉: Mini Oregano Owl by @crochet.by.beck
Yarn 🧶: @bernatyarn blanket yarn in Tabby, Almond, and Gold
Hook 🪝: 6.5mm

And so it begins! Now entering market prep mode. Went from one Mabel Chicken to 10. Now on to loaf cats!

Oh, I do have a YouTube video showing how I add the heads to my Mabels, if you are interested. YouTube link is in my bio!

To my incredible testers, I cannot thank you enough. You’ve added capes, colors, and creativity galore to these patterns. Thank you all for creating quality work AND catching errors, all the way down the last comma color! You all were amazing to work with and I don’t regret one pick, even with a fairly large group (for me). You are amazing, and deserve all the follows.

Thank you, thank you!!!
