The King Who Regrets Eternity

My entry for the diorama category for the #carrionthrones challenge from @grimdark_compendium and for the #greytoglorycomp challenge from @xanserpaints , @bigbearminis , @phil_hammer_40k

Once a ruler of infinite ambition, now a prisoner of his own legacy.
Seated upon a throne of skulls, the Silent King reflects on the price of immortality. The green glow of his kind still burns within him, but behind it lies something far more human regret.
Every skull beneath him tells a story. Every ruin around him echoes the cost of his decision. The red energy behind him is not power it is the manifestation of guilt, rage, and the souls that were lost.
Immortality was never a gift.
It was a curse.

What do you think he is feeling in this moment?

Still can't quite believe it… my diorama took Bronze at the Squidmar Open! 🥉

This project pushed me a lot, from the concept to the painting and the final presentation. I tried to create a dark, dramatic atmosphere with strong contrasts and glowing reds to bring the scene to life.

Huge thanks to everyone who supported me during this build and to the amazing community around the Squidmar Open. The level of talent there is honestly insane and it’s an honor to be part of it.

Already excited to push myself even further on the next project.

$Small reel from my The Last Herald of the Obelisk project A fractured monument rises, fed by forgotten power. The last herald stands between devotion and destruction. Neither god nor servant, only the echo of a dying faith. My entry for #squidmaropen Big Thanks to again @chewie_painting @xanserpaints and @duimgezicht for guidance and help in the project #diorama #grimdark #miniatureart #fantasyart by @clud95$

Dark fantasy, grimdark sci fi and storytelling through miniatures.
Countless hours of painting, experimenting and pushing details.
2025 taught me so much — new techniques, new challenges and a stronger drive.
I want to keep learning in 2026, both behind the brush and in the gym.
And I am truly grateful for every new follower, every like and every comment.
Your support means more than you know.
Special thanks to

@chewie_painting for my stupid painting questions ☺️

Dark metal. Ancient power.
This piece was all about atmosphere, textures and controlled glow.
I wanted a grimdark sci fi fantasy vibe with strong contrasts and a cold, ominous presence.
Pushing shadows, letting the light tell the story and keeping everything rough and gritty.
Really proud of how this one turned out.
