Could you help us create special memories at Clumber? ✨ There’s always something happening for visitors to enjoy, and we’re looking for friendly, enthusiastic volunteers to help bring our seasonal activities to life. As an Engagement and Activities Volunteer, no two days will be the same. You could be one of Father Christmas’ helpers, selling Easter trails, or keeping our Summer of Play looking its best. You’ll spend time chatting with visitors, helping with tills and trail sales, gathering feedback, and supporting the team to make our activities even better. This is a flexible, seasonal role, so you don’t need to commit all year round. We’re particularly looking for people who can volunteer at weekends and during school holidays. By joining the team you’ll get to: 🚶 Meet new people and make new friends 🌿 Spend lots of time outdoors 🎄 Get involved in our seasonal activities ✨ Help create memorable experiences for visitors 💚 Play your part in caring for Clumber Interested in joining us? 🎧 BBC Radio unwinds at Clumber 🌿 Back in July, Dr Sian Williams visited Clumber Park to record snippets for her BBC Radio 3 Unwind show. The calming classical music station launched on Digital Radio alongside BBC Sounds last year. In the episode, which airs tomorrow morning, Dr Sian explores what the changing seasons can teach us about navigating change in our own lives. 🎅 100 days to Christmas! 🎄 Christmas is coming to Clumber Park — and we’ve got lots planned for the festive season. This winter, discover 12 larger-than-life sculptures as part of the brand-new The Trail of Peter Rabbit™ at Clumber Park, created in collaboration with Penguin Ventures and Wild in Art 🐰 Each Peter Rabbit™ sculpture has been uniquely decorated by an artist from across the UK, creating a festive adventure through the beautiful landscapes of the park. And that’s just the beginning… Meet Father Christmas in his enchanting grotto, introduce little ones to the magic of Christmas with festive storytime, get creative with seasonal crafts, enjoy A Christmas Carol in the Chapel, and join us for carols, lantern walks and festive runs. There’s more to the story of Clumber Park than grand buildings, sweeping landscapes and the Dukes who once called it home. As part of Heritage Open Days, we’re turning our attention to the ordinary working people who cared for this extraordinary estate. On Friday 18 September, admission to Clumber Park is free for everyone. As you explore the park, look out for our costumed interpreters and discover what life was like for the housekeepers, stableboys, chauffeurs and gardeners who helped keep Clumber running. You can also delve a little deeper with a programme of fascinating 30-minute talks throughout the day, from the arrival of the motor car at Clumber to life in the walled kitchen garden, the stable staff and the lost mansion. 🚶‍♀️Walk, talk and explore with Pushabout. Looking for a reason to get out and about with your little one? Join our friendly Pushabout walking group which runs every month. Created for anyone who has or looks after pushchair-aged children, Pushabout is a chance to meet other adults, enjoy some time outdoors and build up your confidence and fitness through walking. 🌸 A colourful & creative day at Clumber Park. Join eco florist Liz Baxter from Side Farm Flowers for one of two relaxed flower-arranging workshops this September. In the morning, discover floriography, the Victorian language of flowers, and create a hand-tied seasonal bouquet using colourful, homegrown flowers. In the afternoon, create a beautiful arrangement using a vintage brick mould as your base. Both workshops are suitable for beginners, with all tools, materials and guidance provided.
