This weekend was honestly one of the most special moments of my life ❤️I officially graduated from Berklee College of Music Online and became the first person in my family to graduate college. The fact that it happened on Mother’s Day weekend with my children there to experience it with me made it even more emotional. That part meant more to me than anything. To my kids thank you for being my reason on the days I felt tired, overwhelmed, or wanted to quit. I hope this moment shows you that no dream is too big and it’s never too late to go after the life you want. Big thank you to Uncle Theo, Auntie Brenda, and my lifelong friend ❤️ for showing up and showing out and celebrating with me. The love and support this weekend was something I’ll never forget. Another highlight for me was seeing honorary doctorates presented to @jacobcollier and @missjillscott two artists who have inspired me for years. Just being in that atmosphere while celebrating my own milestone felt surreal. This journey came with a lot of long nights, sacrifices, self-doubt, balancing motherhood, work, and school but I stayed with it and made it through. And now that this chapter is done it’s time for the next one because yes… I’m going for my Master’s degree next 🎓✨ Feeling grateful proud inspired and honestly just happy I never gave up on myself. S/N: Sometimes the people you expected to show up for you won’t… and that’s okay. Keep going anyway.
