It’s been a long time since I’ve made a wreath — over a year! I have a lot to be grateful for: my husband, family, friends, food, work, a first pregnancy, vacations, remission after 2 years of my eczema going out of control, and for a place to call home🏠! Though this is my first year not celebrating thanksgiving with friends or family, or eating the traditional foods — my gratitude for God’s peace and love is an understatement — Happy Thanksgiving🍂🍁!!!

One of my favorites— EVER! I made this last summer for the art teacher at my school🎨!
.
All art supplies were provided by her and she just asked me to make something with them! In exchange, her husband made me the most AMAZING wood-turned bowl.🪵
.
With very little idea of what I would do, or what materials were even in the box she gave me, I took a leap and decided to not make 1, but a collection of 5!! She is one-of-a-kind and a wonderful teacher, so I was honored to see these hung up in her classroom last year.🎨

☀️Officially my last week off before I go back to teaching, and this time Kindergarten!!
- new grade/curriculum
- new room/theme
- new partner
- new year
I’ve had constant change in my career and always get anxious. Somehow, everything works out and I have amazing new experiences and joys I couldn’t have planned. I tend to over calculate and plan a lot, so I’m even more pleasantly surprised by the unforeseen gratification for how well a year can go. I’ve been very happy, and going with the flow…much like how this wreath makes me feel🌻. Here’s to the #teachers that are getting ready for the school year.☀️

Summer thoughts: I love my days, weeks, and even months off — but I know not every job grants this. I’m grateful and look forward to what’s to come.🌴
