This is Eggy the Ram. He was my university’s mascot until he was (rightfully) killed off for being named after a horrible person. Because the true horrors are far less spooky and fun than Halloween may suggest

Happy #Inktober! This year I’m sharing my art a little differently so I don’t flood your feed. I’ll be posting every day to my story, and then every 6 days I’ll make a post like this showing off the last handful of prompts at once. If you want to follow along you can, but if you don’t, you don’t have to see it every day— it’s the best of both worlds! This year I’m designing stickers.

Renaissance Faire Summer is officially over! Enchanta was the best one yet, and I’m so grateful for everyone who came out, or supported me, and for all of the great people I met along the way! Extra special thanks, as always, to @sf_fashion_can for letting me come on this journey with them.

This year was my first time ever selling my art, and as daunting as it seemed, it ended up being a wonderful experience. I’ve learned so much & am already thinking about the next steps & how I can improve for next time.

There may be a few extra surprises down the line, but for now I’m happy to call this chapter of my life complete. Here’s to what’s next! by @cmadydesigns

Celebrating autumn by making some Ontario wildlife using more simple shapes! Everything is made using either a circle, or a straight line at 45° increments. Amazing what you can do with so little!

I’m back to using a watermark/signature after someone completely stole my last post and tried to pass it off as their own. Thankfully I got it removed, but I’m going to be smarter with my work from now on.

Finally, my last Renaissance Faire of the year is this weekend at the Enchanta Forest in Fergus, ON! Tickets are almost completely sold out, but there’s still time!

Hey hey! I’ve been very busy behind-the-scenes but I’ve had this video idea for a few weeks now & finally got to share it!

It can be easy to think that your job as a designer is to just do whatever your client wants, but they’re hiring you as a professional to be able to make informed and strategic decisions on their behalf. Your role is to help your client understand the solution you’ve presented, even if it may differ from their personal tastes.

ALSO! I will be at the Oxford Ren Faire this weekend at the Thorndale Fairgrounds! I’m doing an End-of-Season Sale to clear some stock & make room for more art, so come check it out! I might make a more formal post later… by @cmadydesigns
