One day we were invaded by a flock of Red-winged Blackbirds!
The noise when they were on the ground, but mainly in the trees was almost scary...almost "Hitchcockien" by @cmanilla255

More tracks in the snow in the forest!
Pic 1 These tracks went along the trail for about 20-30 feet, curving back and forth.
Pic 2 With a closer look at the tracks, we decided they were Grouse tracks.
Pic 3 We followed the tracks to just off the trail and found wing and body impressions in the snow of the grouse either just landing, or taking off! by @cmanilla255

On my walks with Heidi, we come across tracks that remind us that we are sharing our woods with other beings.

Here are some pics of the Sharp-Shined Hawk, after catching his meal. He buried it in the snow and is sitting on it and plucking it!
He/she eventually flew away, only to return in a nearby tree to survey for something more to eat! by @cmanilla255

A Hawk scattered some of our more colourful birds into the trees.
I see:
7 male Cardinals
6 female Cardinals
3 Chickadees
1 Junko
I believe the hawk captured and ate a Junko! by @cmanilla255

Recently went to Philadelphia. Had to pose with Rocky!!! Saw the Philly Skyline from the top of the steps, which we DID run up and took a selfie at the top. Rocky's footprints were beside the statue at the top by @cmanilla255
