After so much painting, planning, and dreaming, these new patterns are ready to meet you. This week, they arrive on our website and make their first public appearance at the Greenville County Museum of Art - Antiques, Fine Art and Design Weekend, October 16-18.

I turned 38 last week, and every year I feel a little more like I’m growing into myself—evolving, changing, learning, and becoming more comfortable with who I am. This year feels a little more like coming home to myself.

I’ve had so many little “downloads” this year about what actually matters in this life, and more than anything, I’ve found myself overwhelmed with gratitude. Not just for the big things, but for the really ordinary ones. Waking up in our home. Walking our dogs. Catching the sunrise. Sitting around a table with people I love. Having friends who really know me. Spending time with family. The mundane parts of life that are so easy to move through without realizing that these are the moments that have me in awe.

This year flew by, but somehow I feel like I’ve been more intentional with my time than I have in a long time. I’ve tried to cultivate more time with the people I love, pour into friendships and family alongside my business relationships, and build a life that feels good to actually live—not just one that looks good from the outside.

There are parts of my life I thought would look different at 38. I thought we would have a baby by now. And while that’s something my heart still holds, I’m learning that my story, at least right now, looks different than the version I once imagined. Instead of letting that take away from where I am, I’m trying to really see what’s already here. Because there is so much goodness here- leaning on God and trusting His timing.

Highlights this year: Time with my family. Opening a new business with one of my best friends. Creating systems and rhythms that support my health. Hiring an incredible assistant who has become such an important part of my photography business. And honestly, falling in love with my husband every day and the life we’ve built together.
Maybe that’s what 38 is teaching me—that life doesn’t have to look exactly how you thought it would to still feel full.

So here’s to 38. To being present for the ordinary days. To loving my people well. To continuing to grow while also appreciating who I already am. And to trusting that there is still so much of my story left to unfold. 🤍 by @cmaphoto
