today shade is 26!

it has been so incredible to watch shade as a dad over the last year! he is the best daddy and husband! the way he loves his family inspires me. and he is the hardest worker i know! his love for the Lord shines in all he does!

From the moment you came into our lives, you’ve had a way of seeing the world with depth, courage, and heart. You don’t shy away from growth — you lean into it. You commit yourself fully to the things you care about. That kind of dedication is rare, and it’s something I admire more than I can put into words.

Watching you grow into the woman you are has been one of my greatest privileges. I’m in awe of your strength, your authenticity, and the way you stay true to yourself while continuing to challenge who you’re becoming. 30 years.

Today we celebrate 30 years!
I am more grateful than ever for the man that Brian is. He is bold, engaged, & always fully present. He doesn’t shrink back from hard conversations—he steps into them. He leads with heart, and a deep sense of purpose, always calling those around him toward something better. He loves BIG and always points to Jesus.

This year, our anniversary finds us in different places, and even that reflects who he is. Brian is in Houston, with Alan, Jack, & Gracie. Being present with them in the loss of Rhonda. Brian always shows up and loves well! He is exactly where he is supposed to be.
