Jackson cooked dinner for mom and I and we swam in the pool at his apartment until well after dark. Just what we needed!!! I’m enjoying this season of life with my adult kiddos!! (Barry and Maddie went to Nashville to see Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age with tickets that Jackson bought Maddie for her birthday - he is so very thoughtful!!) by @cmcsanders

Finally got the pics to my favorite part of yesterday!! The Chicken Fights!!! I’ve decided my nephew, Logan, is made of a slinky toy instead of bones because that boy is Flexible and can pull out of anything!!! **The *older generation, aka Barry and Adam* are definitely feeling the aches and pains in their necks and backs this morning!! But, it was so worth it!!
Another favorite part of our day was belting out our favorite “America” songs together at the top of our lungs from our playlist, but I don’t have video of that!! Daddy would have smiled. 💗💗💗 taken in Tifton, Georgia by @cmcsanders

This year has been a struggle on many fronts for you health-wise and a knock-it-out-of-the-park year for you work-wise, and you greet each day with a smile on your face! We’ve had quite the ride with Mom’s recovery. We took her in to Madison ER on Sunday after being released from Emory on Saturday. She had developed pneumonia in her lungs and was struggling to maintain oxygen saturation. We were transferred to Huntsville Main last night as a precaution because she had vascular surgery so recently and they do not have vascular surgeons in Madison. Her hemoglobin is very low and she is receiving blood today. She will be in the hospital at least through midweek and then they will discuss coming home.

These two right here jumped in their car yesterday and came to help with Mom’s care. I’m so thankful God gave me the very best sisters when my brother’s married.

I hear lots of people talking negatively about Huntsville Hospital on FB all the time. I’m here to say that our family has been in MANY hospitals throughout the years. Children’s in Birmingham, UAB, Emory, etc. She has received the most attentive, thorough, friendly, supportive care that we have EVER received anywhere right here at Huntsville Hospital- both Madison and Main locations. We are truly blessed and we are so very impressed and thankful for the care our mom is receiving at Huntsville Hospital. Oh, and her rooms have been so CLEAN!!! Please say a prayer for our Mom this morning! She is having carotid subclavian bypass surgery this morning at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. The boys and I are all here with her and we are in trusting our Heavenly Father for a great outcome. by @cmcsanders
