It’s no secret that @u2 is my favorite band. I heard Pride on the radio at age 10ish and the rest is history. U2 is 50 today. The same 4 guys have been making music together for 50 years! I have been doing a lot of reminiscing today and U2 has benefited me so many things, life long friends, traveling around the US, meeting other fans from around the world, the memories are vast and cherished. I was thinking how lucky I am to have seen them 30+ times when a lot of people want to see them once. Then there is the music. Always there when I was happy, lost, heartbroken and special, because these are songs I listened to with my Mom, she loved With or Without You, a LOT, she would do this air guitar thing, it was totally her and totally embarrassing for me, haha. Thank you to the four teenagers from Dublin that answered the note on the school notice board “Drummer seeks musicians to form band”

I’m flying back to Austin in 7 hours and I would rather just stay here. But I suppose I gotta go home. I love Chicago, I love the trains, and the neighborhoods, and the record stores, and the music, and the art, and the boat tours, and all the kind strangers I met over the last 4 days. @humbandofficial I was blown away last night! The crowd was so awesome! I loved seeing all the young people there. If you have ever thought about taking a trip to see a favorite band you didn’t get to see 30 years ago or even 11 years ago, DO IT. Life goes by too damn fast to miss nights like this. 🖤💚💙💜
