Someone told us you had to pay before you could see anything in the app. They were right, and we changed it.

Free now — no trial, no countdown, no limit on how much you log:

— the symptom questions you answer when you sign up, your result, and what it means in plain words
— logging feeds and symptoms, with the time and how bad it was
— an automatic read on every meal you log: whether it carries cow's milk protein, and why. Alongside the label, never instead of it
— 16 guides, in English and Spanish
— the community
— more than one baby on the same account

And you can delete your account from inside the app, in two taps, without paying and without writing to anyone first.

CMPA Pro is three things: the AI coach, the report for your pediatrician, and the guided elimination diet.

None of it tells you what's wrong. That part belongs to your doctor — we just keep the record so you don't have to hold three hard weeks in your head. 💛

If you already have the app, update it from the App Store to see this.

Do babies outgrow CMPA? If you've typed that at 3 a.m., you're not alone 💛 Here's what the research says.

• EuroPrevall followed babies in 9 European countries. Of the babies with CMPA who were checked again a year later, 22 of 32 (69%) could have cow's milk (Allergy, 2015).
• The type matters: in that study, every baby with the non-IgE type who was checked again could have milk, and 57% with the IgE type.
• The UK allergy specialists' guideline (BSACI) says most children grow out of it, usually by about age 5. For some it takes longer.
• There's no set date. BSACI suggests a review every 6–12 months from age 1, and bringing milk back is planned with your pediatrician or dietitian.

Numbers describe groups, not your baby. Don't change your baby's feeding because of a post.

4. Tu informe para el pediatra toma forma mientras registras.

“Lactose-free” isn’t milk-free.

It’s one of the easiest mix-ups in the dairy aisle, especially when you’re running on little sleep. Here’s what the front of the pack doesn’t tell you:

1. Lactose is the natural sugar in milk. Lactose-free milk is still cow’s milk, and it still has cow’s milk protein (ASCIA).
2. Lactose intolerance is trouble digesting the sugar. Milk allergy is a reaction to the protein (NHS, Cambridge University Hospitals).
3. In the US, a “non-dairy” food can contain caseinate, a milk protein. The ingredient list must name its source, like “sodium caseinate (a milk derivative)” (21 CFR 101.4(d)).
4. Whey, casein and caseinate are all milk proteins. On most US packaged foods, milk must be named in the ingredient list or in a “Contains” line. Not every pack has a “Contains” line, so read the whole list (FDA). In the UK, milk is highlighted in the ingredients list of prepacked food (GOV.UK).

This isn’t exhaustive, and ingredients can change. Read the label. Every time. Don’t change your baby’s feeding because of a post. Check with your pediatrician or dietitian.

Save this for your next shop · Send it to whoever shops with you 💛

Cutting dairy for your baby? Let the app keep the notes.

CMPA Baby keeps meals, symptoms and each day in one place, so you have organized notes to bring to your pediatrician.

What you see in the video:
1. Log a meal in a few taps. If you're avoiding dairy, the app flags dairy words in the meals you log for yourself. Read the label. Every time.
2. Log symptoms and see each day at a glance on the calendar.
3. An optional daily reminder at 8 p.m.
4. Your report for the pediatrician takes shape as you log.
5. Answers from the AI Coach come with sources.
6. A guided elimination diet with weekly CoMiSS check-ins. Always with your pediatrician or dietitian.
7. 16 guides, in English and Spanish.

Free: logging meals and symptoms, the calendar and the guides.
CMPA Pro: the PDF report, the AI Coach and the guided elimination diet.

New to CMPA Pro? The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

Less guessing. More clarity.

It doesn't replace your pediatrician or dietitian. Not medical advice.

Free on the App Store, for iPhone. Link in bio.

If it feels like every baby in your group has CMPA, you're not imagining it. And if you've been up at night wondering about your own baby, that worry makes sense.

How common is CMPA? It depends on how it's counted:

1. When parents are asked: across studies, parent-perceived rates are often around 10%, according to ESPGHAN, Europe's pediatric gastroenterology society (2024).
2. When babies are followed from birth: the EuroPrevall study followed 9,336 babies in nine European countries to age 2. When suspected cases were checked with a supervised milk challenge, 0.54% had cow's milk allergy, about 5 in 1,000 (Allergy, 2015).
3. Why the gap: troublesome crying, vomiting or rashes are each reported in 15–20% of all babies, while cow's milk allergy affects about 1% (JAMA Pediatrics, 2020). The symptoms parents notice are common in babies without a milk allergy, too.

What this means for you: your worry is valid. Numbers describe groups, not your baby. Write down what you notice and when, and talk it through with your pediatrician. Don't change your baby's feeding because of a post.

What's new in CMPA Baby 1.0.9: three small changes to make logging easier.

1. A first-log guide. Until your first meal or symptom is logged, Home shows a short card with what to log and a button for each. It takes under a minute.
2. An optional daily reminder at 8 p.m. We offer it during setup or after your first log. Turn it off anytime in Profile.
3. A report preview after your third log. On the free plan, Home shows it once: what you logged in the last 30 days. The full PDF for your pediatrician is part of CMPA Pro.

CMPA Baby is now listed in Spanish on the App Store. CMPA Baby ahora figura en español en el App Store.

New to CMPA Pro? The yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial.

Logging meals and symptoms, the calendar and the guides stay free.

Cocoa butter isn't butter.

Some ingredient names sound milky but aren't milk ingredients. Health Canada and ASCIA (the Australasian allergy society) list these as not containing milk protein by themselves, unless the label says otherwise:

1. Cocoa butter: the fat from cocoa beans. Chocolate itself can still contain milk.
2. Cream of tartar: a byproduct of winemaking, also called potassium bitartrate.
3. Calcium or sodium lactate: salts made from lactic acid.
4. Calcium or sodium stearoyl lactylate: an emulsifier used in bread and baked goods, which can still contain milk.

One to watch: ASCIA notes that some lactic acid starter cultures may contain milk.

The label decides, not the sound of a word. This isn't exhaustive. Check with your pediatrician or dietitian. Read the label. Every time.

Baby's asleep. And those five minutes are yours too.

If you gave up dairy for your baby, you know how much you can miss something creamy. This white bean and lemon dip takes about 5 minutes, with no cooking and no dairy ingredients.

CREAMY WHITE BEAN & LEMON DIP · 2 adult servings
1. 1½ cups cooked white beans, drained and rinsed
2. 2 tbsp lemon juice
3. 1 tbsp olive oil
4. 2–4 tbsp water
5. A pinch of paprika

Blend everything, adding the water little by little until creamy. Serve with cucumber and carrot sticks.

Made without dairy ingredients, which isn't a guarantee for every allergy. Read the label. Every time, especially on canned beans. If you're following a milk-free diet, do it with your pediatrician or dietitian. This is for you, not a baby feeding guide. Not medical advice.

Save it for the next nap, and send it to someone cooking dairy-free too.

A small bit of planning for a busy week. 💛 This list covers our lemon chickpea bowl and white bean dip — two adult recipes, each making two portions.

PRODUCE
• 1 large cucumber
• 1 cup cherry tomatoes
• 1–2 carrots for dipping
• Enough lemons for 4 tbsp juice
• A small bunch of parsley (2 tbsp chopped for the bowl)

PANTRY
• 1½ cups cooked chickpeas
• 1½ cups cooked white beans
• 2 tbsp olive oil total
• A pinch of paprika
• Water for the dip

Choose packaged ingredients that fit your own allergy plan and read the labels every time. These are adult food ideas, not a baby feeding guide.

Full recipes are in Tuesday’s chickpea bowl and Saturday’s white bean dip posts. Save this list or share it with the person doing the shopping.
