Kamakura — a ceremonial matcha identity built around one idea: the tea is grown in the dark.

Before harvest, the plants spend twenty days under a black shading net that blocks the sun and concentrates the colour. Everyone else photographs the leaf. We started from the net. It’s the thing that makes the leaf possible, and nobody shows it.

That darkness became the whole system: black tin, black tools, and green rationed down to almost nothing. One line, one knot, one letter in the name. The name itself comes from Kamakura, Japan, where the monk Eisai brought the first tea seeds from China in 1191 and wrote the country’s first tea treatise twenty years later. Not a mood. The actual origin.

We also started building Kamakura in 3D with Higgsfield: a first pass at a physical store, tested in space before a single wall exists.

DEGLIUBERTI Archive is built from fifty years of research, instinct and discovery.

A selection shaped over time through past collections, travels, buying trips, unexpected finds and pieces gathered along the way. Some were kept as references, others used for styling, shoots and to explore new silhouettes, combinations and directions for the store.

More than a vintage selection, it is a living archive — a collection of garments that reflects the way we work, look at product and build our point of view.

A part of DEGLIUBERTI’s history, brought back into circulation.

All Archive pieces are pre-owned — worn, handled and used over time as part of our research and evolution.
