@cmustreetstyles Vol 7 🏆
I know some dancers be having crazy stories about winning battles like I came straight from the airport, I slept 2 hours or I was in the hospital earlier that day or some other crazy ish 😅
Mine ain't too wild but it's just funny how the world works so if you're curious, read on 👇🏼
After a 3 day client summit for work (& some work outings 😬), I stayed in Pittsburgh to explore aka I did a lotttt of walking... 👣
I ended up walking all around Pittsburgh for Friday & most of Saturday going to National Aviary, zoo, by the water & ton of different neighborhoods. Very nice city btw. I wore new running shoes but bro, my feet were cooked after 25k steps per day 🤣
🔽
Saturday came around... & I was looking forward to connecting with the dance community at a session courtesy of @themindofquinn at @leveluppgh 🙂‍↕️ big shout out to him!
Long story short, session was gonna be slow because most of the community was @cmustreetstyles.. so we (@funkwrld_ & @gliss_bliss, Mario and I) go there 🚙
I love side quests 😂
Now the fun part was shifting the mindset from yay session to grr battle. Instead, I decided to combine them since I just wanted to dance into Yay Battle 🤗 time to hop into the playground
🔽
Soooo this was like my 8th round & I was already cooked 😂
Top 3 vs judge @powsu0607 🙏🏼
More side quests!
I see a nasty ball of hair on the edge of the dance floor 🫈 👀 ... So one guy starts to move it but I said, "Nah, leave it. I'll use it in this round" 🤪
People were already chuckling while saying wtf under their breath.
Welp, end of round, I used it as a concept 🤣
Fun fact, my hand/arm got stuck in the hat so I just used it. I spun that mf like a lil kid screaming at their mom, LOOK WHAT I CAN DO 👶
In conclusion, on a serious note, what an awesome night it was connecting with so many kind & open people whether it was in cypher, battle, conversation or all of the above.
As I mentioned, my body was cooked but man, all of the interactions & positive vibes just kept me going. It was a great mix of fun, competition, connection & play 🛝
Hope to see you all out in Burg again soon 🫡
Much love to everyone involved in the event 🫶🏼 taken in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania by @cmustreetstyles
