Addy’s Senior Showcase
It was a beautiful night filled with family, friends, ballroom team, her advanced dance class, solo with her boyfriend, and her sister dancing along side her (or after her). Addy didn’t start dancing until later on in life and though many of her peers were more advanced she continued to dance and put herself out there. She loved cheering at Friday Night Games, Ballroom concerts and competitions, and her many years involved in Nutcracker. She looks forward to getting a minor in dance at SUU and knee surgery this summer, which will hopefully help her to continue to dance without all the pain. She has been dancing and tumbling on her bad knee since sophomore year. by @cncsant

Elementary Graduation Walk Through!! These photos are making me a little emotional. We loved Addy’s time at Stansbury Park Elementary. She had wonderful teachers (the best of the best who I love to this day) and made many great friends. And although her friends changed throughout the years, her elementary friends will always hold a special place in my heart. 💕 by @cncsant

These posts are always difficult for me. On the one hand I am so proud and on the other hand I don’t want to make anyone else to feel less than for their own accomplishments. I have my own child who works just as hard as my children who get straight A’s. I have children where school is pretty easy, I have children who study a lot, and I have children that it wouldn’t matter how much they studied it just doesn’t make sense. I love them all and I celebrate them all. Yesterday we got to celebrate Addelyn and all her accomplishments. Addy was diagnosed in 5th grade with ADHD, which affects her organization and memory mostly. Despite these challenges, being involved in many activities, and helping with our crazy kids, she will graduate with a 3.9. She received Honors Diploma, Activities and Performing Arts Enrichment, CTE Pathways, and was a member of the National Honor Society for 3 years. Due to a few clerical errors she was 1 college class short from getting her College Completion Certificate and they also forgot to mention her Concurrent Enrollment Recognition for 21+ college credits (she received 27). They fixed the mistake, but obviously can’t go back and re-do the video. She also was awarded many academic scholarships which will be so helpful in her journey to become an aviation and avionics mechanic at Southern Utah University. We love her and will miss having her around more than she will ever know. We are excited for her future and know she will accomplish great things! by @cncsant

Dear Mama,

It has been six months since I have heard your voice, six months since I have seen you smile, six months since I realized how hard it would be to let you go. It has been six months of good grades, new jobs, college decisions, soccer games, cheer and ballroom competitions, dance concerts, and piano recitals. It has been six months of shopping without you, being without you, living without you.

It has been six months of tears, six months of crying myself to sleep, six months of hoping to see you again. It has been six months of things I need to tell you. It has been six months of highs and lows. It has been six months without my mama, and six months without my best friend. It has been six lonely months.

Every day, I am reminded of how many people are missing their own loved ones, some who had even less time than we did. Every day, I am reminded of how I took you for granted, how I did not appreciate you enough, and how much better I could have been.

It has been six months of reliving your last day on Earth, six months since I told you it was okay to go, six months since I had no idea that it most definitely was not okay. I hope it has been six months since you have been with Dad, six months with Jesus, six months free of the worries of this world. It has been six months since you have felt pain and six months closer until I will see you again.

I love you and miss you. Please bring Daddy and come see me, or at least let me know you are near. I need you both. by @cncsant
