To witness such a battle (@theflyfishingnation), a nets job (@fergus_kelley_flyfishing) and such a GIANT fish, in this day and age, is a rare privilege. I’ll let the video do the talking!

It goes without saying that this fish was released safely after being measured and scaled under the supervision of all the Olderø guides: 129 cm × 66 cm and 45.6 lbs!

CND Nordic 14ft 9# Fly Rod: In advance of next week’s Spey Day at Dryburghe Upper, the team from CND sent us on loan their new Nordic 14ft rod for a totally unbiased ghillie’s review.
•
As a group of Tweed ghillies and instructors, we’ve been testing the Nordic over the last few months and have collectively been very impressed with the performance of this rod.
•
UK distributor Mark Patterson from Nordic Tackle Supplies will be attending the Spey Day to showcase the full Nordic series to our group of speycasters.
•
Our S25 event is full, but we are planning our S26 Spey Day for any casters interested in attending.
