Cicero-North Syracuse is proud to welcome Coach Mike Wheeler as the new Head Boys Varsity Basketball Coach.

Wheeler brings more than 25 years of coaching experience and an impressive 600 career victories at the college and high school levels to the C-NS basketball program.

A proud C-NS alumnus, Coach Wheeler is excited to return to his alma mater and begin this new chapter with the Northstars.

Wheeler spent nearly two decades as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach at Onondaga Community College, serving from 2001 through 2020. He then returned to the high school game as the Liverpool Girls Varsity Basketball Coach from 2021 through 2026, where he led the program to three consecutive sectional championships.

Throughout his career, Coach Wheeler has been committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the court, with an emphasis on teamwork, discipline, accountability, fundamentals, and competing at a high level.

Returning to his alma mater makes this opportunity especially meaningful for Wheeler, who looks forward to bringing his experience and passion for basketball to Cicero-North Syracuse and building a program that players, families, alumni, and the entire C-NS community can be proud of.

Welcome home, Coach Wheeler! 💚💙 by @cnsbbasketball
