Rising Senior Jacqueline Thomas This summer Jacqueline joined the Nathan Schnaper Intern Program for Translational Cancer Research at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center. She worked in the Weber Lab, conducting research on Alzheimer’s Disease and Malignant Melanoma using 2D NMR techniques. At the end of her internship, she presented her research at the OSR research forum and the NSIP research symposium. by @cnuwlax

𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑 𝑺𝒑𝒐𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕ft rising Junior Sam Manico Sam is currently working as a Constituent Services Intern in Senator Mark Warner’s Roanoke office. Her day-to-day includes answering constituent calls, assisting with casework involving federal agencies, and working on policy and outreach projects. One of Sam’s recent policy projects focused on researching data center regulation.This trip to Washington, D.C., brings together all of Senator Warner’s state office interns. They had the opportunity to meet with the Senator, tour the U.S. Capitol, connect with interns from across Virginia, and learn more about how the Senator’s office serves constituents and operates behind the scenes. by @cnuwlax

They provide safe space for both the parents and children to grow and learn. Emily spends most of her days observing the kids in daycare and making sure they feel comfortable! Every Wednesday she sits in on a parenting class called Strengthening Families hosted by the Health Department, there I learn how to maintain a healthy space for your family. by @cnuwlax
