What Did You Do With Your Hair?
Part 4: Protective Styles #explore
Protective styles have been THEE game changer in my hair growth and length retention journey! With less manipulation, I’ve been able to focus on the care and maintenance of my hair while exploring ways to prevent breakage. I like them because they allow me to have direct access to my scalp for oiling and moisturizing.
I’m still on this journey, but this is what has helped me thus far.
A tip for you: Choose a #protectivestyle you want to try and remain consistent with it to support your hair growth and length retention. #naturalhaircommunity

Part 2: What Did You Do with Your Hair? (Batana Oil)
I have been using batana oil all 2026 and it will continue to be a part of my routine.

My batana oil of choice is @thealkalinebrand

Benefits of Batana Oil for Natural Hair 🌿
• Helps moisturize hair and reduce dryness
• May help reduce breakage and improve length retention
• Helps condition the scalp
• Can improve hair softness and manageability
• May support healthier-looking, stronger hair

✨ Reminder: While batana oil may help with hair conditioning and length retention, there is limited scientific evidence that it directly stimulates hair growth.

Healthy hair growth starts with a consistent hair-care routine, proper nutrition, and gentle styling! 💚

What Did You Do With Your Hair?
Tips for natural hair growth & care. ✨

One key recommendation I have is supplementation! Supplements are meant to complement other healthy habits, such as making conscious nutritional choices: eating lean proteins, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, and healthy fats and staying properly hydrated.

I have been taking @maryruthorganics Multivitamins + Hair Growth since March 2025. Since incorporating them into my routine, I’ve personally experienced an increased rate of hair growth, improved hair thickness, and an overall improvement in my skin’s appearance.

If you’re looking for a multivitamin and hair supplement to support your natural hair journey, these are ones I personally recommend. 🤎

My Fall Fit session was filled with fun and laughter (as you can see)! I got to try out some cool Fall looks as we transition into the season.

The [Color Bone] Brushed Softstreme Half Zip paired with the Softstreme HR Short was incredibly SOFT and cozy! I can already tell this will be a perfect summer-to-fall transition outfit.

The leggings had their usual great fit, but I decided to switch them out for the Groove Nulu Super-High-Rise Flared Pant. I plan to wear them out and about, or during a strength and conditioning session with my Flow Y Bra. The Cates T-shirt is also perfect for layering.

Fall is on the cusp. I’m not ready, but I’ve got to get ready, lol. Just a few Fall suggestions if you decide to come in and find your fit with us @lululemon Downtown Detroit.

You can not lose when you prioritize rest and recovery. All the coaching/ cross training/ running was starting to get to me. I was feeling sore and inflamed/ pain, it just wasn’t going away 😩 so I needed to step my recovery game up (outside of mobility and foam rolling). So here we are for my first cold plunge in ages and my first time going for red light therapy.

Why cold plunges and red light therapy❓

🧊Cold Plunges
〰️Reduces Inflammation
〰️Eases Muscle Soreness🥹
〰️Boosts Circulation
〰️Enhances Mental Resilience

🚨Red Light Therapy:
〰️Cellular Repair- promotes healing
〰️Reduces Inflammation
〰️Improves Circulation
〰️Skin and Tissue Health

Combining these therapies can create a comprehensive recovery routine, addressing both the immediate physical needs of the body and long-term cellular health.

Feeling good and feeling refreshed. I will be back for more of these during training.🙏🏾 by @co.khari

Smile😊, happiness you could model it
And when you feel opposite
I just want YOU to know
Your whole being is BEAUTIFUL ♥️

Stepped onto the green for a Saturday morning of golf ⛳️ with @blacktechsaturdays . It was my first real exposure to the game and I had a blast!

There’s something powerful about trying something new in a safe, welcoming space where camaraderie and connection come easy. Grateful for the opportunity to explore a new arena and have fun doing it.🫶🏾
