☀️Happy Sunday Y’all☀️ • The Quarantine Blues are a real thing. • Social Isolation can have some serious physical, emotional, and cognitive effects on folx. • If you are able to, step out on the balcony and get some fresh air, open some windows or throw on a mask and get yourself some socially distanced sun. 😷☀️ • While you’re at it, head to our IGTV and check out our “Light” music video for dose of happiness! • Above is the 191st St-1 train tunnel we used in the “Light” music video. Although we’d ridden the subway and been to the station many times, it wasn’t until #locationscouting for “Light” that we really took in the tunnel’s beauty. • Sometimes the best locations are right under our noses. • Have yourself a socially distant adventure! Who knows what you might find? by @co_opproductions

🔥Boss Lady🔥 - - -Definition- - - • An empowering woman that... ✔️kicks ass; ✔️Takes control of her life and achieves her dreams; ✔️Someone who knows her worth. • I saw this definition on a graphic in a Marshall’s pre-Covid. I was feeling really low that day and this text instantly made me feel empowered. • I thought, “YEAH! I wanna be a Boss Lady...scratch that, I AM a Boss Lady!” • We all need a little encouragement sometimes and it can come from the most unlikely places, like @marshalls • I created Co-Op Productions for a few reasons but at the heart of our work is bringing support, empowerment and inspiration to our BIMPOC communities. • Our journey is just beginning and I hope you’ll join us for the ride! by @co_opproductions

🔥#Artivism✊🏽 • @worldwidewilliam is a multi-hyphenated #Artivist and Co-Op Collaborator constantly working to #changethenarrative • William is a Director, Choreographer, Playwright, and Educator of South American descent from Chicago with directorial credits at Steppenwolf 1700, The Public Theatre’s @joespub, and @marriotttheatre . William also directed and choreographed the "Light" music video created for Portland Center Stage. • Have a moment to help support some of William's students? • Lawrence Central High School houses performing arts programs that reach hundreds of students. The memories, artistry, and cooperation that accompany LCPA programs can make a difference in the lives of our children, their families, and the community. Through performance, teamwork, and common goals, students grow. By overcoming adversity, they learn. And, through participation in the performing arts, these students find a home, and success! • This year, many students cannot afford the participation fees required to fund the arts programs. The hardships endured by the pandemic have taken an exceptionally hard toll on many Lawrence Central families who were already disadvantaged. In addition, many fundraising opportunities have not been possible due to Covid-19 precautions and restrictions. The performing arts teachers and the Lawrence Central Performing Arts Association are committed to making performing arts education accessible to all, and your help is needed now more than ever. • Take action and be an LC Performing Arts Hero! Have Y'all Met!? 👀💁🏽‍♀️ • @emilydmads is #changingthenarrative ✊🏽 • Emily is a professional Dancer, Actor, Choreographer, yoga instructor (200-RYT) and Co-Op Collaborator! She is also the co-host of @mixedmessagepod and can be seen in front of the camera in our "Light" music video and behind the camera in another one of our upcoming projects. • Emily is an #artivist who actively pursues social justice through her work and as a "Black, biracial woman, is currently looking to expand her education in order to be a better advocate for BIMPOC communities." • "...I have been painfully aware that the entertainment community at large has still not embraced the changes being created by intimacy direction and coordination, and that the last to be heard or protected, are entertainers of color. We are constantly taught that we speak last, if at all. And that our bodies are to be used as props. I would like to be a part of changing that narrative." • To find out more about how you can support @emilydmads through pre-natal yoga and doula training, as well as starting her journey towards becoming an Intimacy Director, check out the #linkinbio • @intimacycoordinatorsofcolor @gofundme by @co_opproductions
