School Gala Day!

After introducing the flag program last year participation at the school has dramatically, increased adding it as part of Integrated sport and PASS / PDHPE lessons this year and seeing 30+ kids playing on the oval at lunchtimes.

It was so amazing that we were able to fill 3 teams in two age groups and have our U18’s make it to the grand final!

Seeing my club kids out there representing their schools and passing on knowledge was an amazing thing to see them growing the sport! by @coach.stacey7

What a weekend! 🏈
Flag program SNZ 2 saw 4 teams compete at @gridironnsw Asia Pac Championships

Our girls team held their own against the boys all weekend, our boys showed some amazing displays of teamwork and athleticism, our men’s came together and put on a show and our women’s team was small in numbers and experience but big in heart taking 2 junior QB’s and creating an environment for them to shine.

LA, you gave us so much more than football.

Over the course of this trip I watched athletes become teammates, teammates become leaders, and strangers become family. Every challenge, every long day, every tough conversation and every little win helped shape who we became.

The results mattered in the moment, but they’ll never tell the full story. The confidence that grew, the resilience that was built, the friendships that were formed and the memories that we will carry forever.

So proud of every person who wore the jersey and embraced the journey. Thank you for trusting the process, supporting one another, and proving that growth happens when you’re willing to step outside your comfort zone.

This photo was me coaching from the sideline in full kit with my daughter on my hip at 12 months old. Now she’s 7 and honestly she’s grown up around both of her parents playing or coaching sport her whole life, trainings, game days, playbooks spread across the house, long days at the field.

A lot of the time I’ve felt like I’ve had to balance being “all in” as a coach while still trying to be the mum I want to be. Some days I’ve done that well, some days I definitely haven’t. But one thing I’m proud of is that she’s always been included in the journey, not separate from it. It’s a blessing my kids ask to go to football - to play with my ‘big kids’, and meet some extraordinary people.

I hope growing up around women and girls playing sports, coaching, leading, competing, shows her the value sport can give to life.

Coaching teaches you patience, adaptability, communication, and how to keep showing up even when you’re exhausted -turns out motherhood does exactly the same thing.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums juggling sport, kids, work, and life.

Especially the ones answering emails from the sidelines while carrying multiple snacks, water bottles, and remembering if you have enough milk left in the fridge 💙🏈 by @coach.stacey7

Another proud moment from this year coaching our all girls team in the NFL Schools program.

At an all-girls, predominantly Muslim school, these incredible students made history as the first team to ever represent the school, breaking barriers and redefining what women can do.

What’s even more impressive, they held their ground all tournament, conceding just 14 points in games. Absolute effort, resilience, and pride from this group 💪🏽 by @coach.stacey7

This one goes out to the most amazing supportive coaches I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Passionate, knowledgeable, caring, putting up with my 1am waffle about plays, consistently reminding me of where I put my playsheet. These girls could have done it without you - and neither could I.

Not the result we wanted, but I couldn’t be prouder of these kids. They showed mental and physical toughness, tested continually and still ended the weekend with smiles, friendships and more importantly a love for the game.
Blessed to have had a part in their journey, and excited for what’s to come 👀
