Couldn’t have written it any better.
This group understands how hard it is to get here and how special it is to finish this way.

The hardest part now is moving on from a team that gave everything through every high and low.

Grateful for our seniors @danibarraa @kira.laii @kady.hagan @emiliemclean1 the time, sacrifice, and team-first mindset they poured into this program.

And a big thank you to our coaching staff @paul_fust @brookefust @darya__rom @kyufust @abby.sweeny for their dedication, support, and commitment to developing each and every athlete along the way. by @coach.sung

What a ride! Reflecting on this season and all of the time that so many of us have put into giving this team a great basketball experience has been simply amazing: we are beyond grateful for everyone involved.

First off, I’m so thankful to the team for caring, believing in what we were doing at Dakota and sharing the passion to compete.

Next, I want to thank our coaches @paul_fust, @tiffanybor, @tatestarkell, and @maadisonzaadro for all of their time that they invested in each of these athletes to help build them into people that will impact their community. I am also so grateful for receiving so much ❤️and support from @michsung in this crazy thing we do called coaching.

Lastly, I’m thankful to this team and the alumni that have been through the gym doors at Dakota in helping to build this experience for female athletes. I’m so happy that so many people got to watch this group play, to see the fun that they have together, and to watch them become a part of basketball history in Manitoba. 🏆🏆🏆 by @coach.sung

Grateful for this group and everything they brought to this summer.
They challenged each other, pushed through the hard days, and made each other better along the way.
Maybe that’s what the right group does; they rein you in, push you forward, and remind you what’s possible. 🙏 by @coach.sung

Great weekend in South Dakota with the @basketballmb Provincial Team!

An awesome opportunity for everyone to learn, grow, and compete. We were fortunate to field two teams, giving every athlete more opportunities to play and develop. Proud to see our squads finish 2nd and 3rd overall!

A huge thank you to all the parents for helping make this trip and experience possible. by @coach.sung

15U Jr. Bison PEBL squad … I’m so proud of all of you!

We experienced so much growth throughout this intense spring season, and to see you come together and play some of your best basketball during championship weekend was incredible.

Bringing home 🥉 is an amazing accomplishment, but I’m even more proud of the team you became along the way. Excited to see what’s next for this group! by @coach.sung

It’s an honour to recognize Emilie and the incredible journey she’s had.

When Emilie first came to Dakota, she was a young hooper with potential, but what’s stood out the most over the years is just how much shes grown; not just in skill, but in confidence, leadership, and love for the game. Special shout out to @paul_fust and @brookefust who spent so much time with Emilie developing her game over the last couple of years.

That growth translated into success, helping lead her Dakota teams to both a JV Provincial Championship in 2023 and recently Varsity Provincial Championship this year.

Dakota is proud of everything you’ve accomplished, and even more excited for what’s ahead, because this is just the beginning for you.

Congratulations, Emilie McLean our AAAA player of the year :) by @coach.sung
