Creatine curious? 🧐 As a registered dietitian, personal trainer, HYROX coach and hybrid athlete, it’s a non-negotiable for me.

Here’s my TLDR:

CREATINE 101 💥
🏋️ Supports strength, power, high-intensity capacity, as well as faster recovery-post workout.

🧠 Research supports the cognitive benefits of creatine, particularly during times of stress, sleep deprivation and mental fatigue.

👯 Girlies, listen up: Women may have more creatine catch-up to do, due to lower endogenous stores and dietary intake.

🌱 Plant-based and vegetarian friends tend to have lower muscle creatine stores, making supplementation even more worth considering.

HOW MUCH?
5 g/day is a standard maintenance dose for most healthy adults. I personally take 5–10 g/day to support my training and goals. Consistency matters more than timing—take it daily, even on rest days (always with enough water!) 💦

WHAT TO LOOK FOR?

✔️ Creatine monohydrate — the most researched form

✔️ Third-party testing, specifically NSF Certified for Sport® for confidence in quality, purity, label accuracy and screening for banned substances

My go-to: @trycreate because it checks all these boxes 🧡🩵💜

Tons of people requesting this recipe! It’s SUPER quick and easy, a healthy breakfast meal prep idea for busy fall mornings! 🍂

Protein Pumpkin Oat Bars 🎃
* 1 ½ cups oat flour
* ½ cup vanilla protein powder (@drinkorgain is my go to)
* 1 tsp baking powder
* 1 tsp baking soda
* 1 tsp cinnamon
* 1-2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
* ½ teaspoon sea salt
* 1 cup pumpkin puree
* ¼ cup maple syrup
* 1 teaspoon vanilla
* 2 eggs
* ¾ cup plain or vanilla Greek yogurt
* ¼ cup chocolate chips + more for topping!

Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350° and spray (well!) a square baking pan

In a large bowl whisk together the what ingredients (pumpkin, vanilla, eggs, maple syrup and yogurt)

Stir in the dry ingredients (flour, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, salt and spices). Fold in ¼ cup of chocolate chips.

Pour into the pan and top with some more chocolate chips!

Bake at 3:50 for 30 to 40 minutes or until a toothpick/knife comes out clean. Let cool in the pan before slicing. Enjoy!

I love serving warm with a dollop of Greek yogurt and a drizzle of peanut butter for a little extra protein! 😊
