 Coach Israel Williams aka Coach "Zo" is a intentional and experienced coach with over 7+ years of experience as a basketball coach, Coach Israel excels in developing meaningful relationships that empower athletes to reach their full potential.

This season was one of many ups and downs. This was a group who didn’t have much experience playing the game. Teaching the game from scratch is extremely challenging. I learned a great deal about myself personally and as a coach.

You have to meet players where they are. Allow the players to fail, and correct them when they do. First half of the season I wasn’t quite sure if they were grasping what I was teaching but I kept at it. More fundamental training(learning: communication, how to get open, spacing, protecting your dribble, pivoting, passing, form shooting, man to man defense etc.) than anything. We didn’t win many games but I can tell you the development these young ladies went through showed.

During the second half of the season they were doing the things we practiced on. It became second nature. As a coach that’s all I could ask for, especially with an inexperienced group. The girls started to care about what they were doing and their confidence grew. That confidence was shown in game. It’s so much more I can say. In my eyes this was a successful season because I helped them understand the power of believing in themselves and knowing that everything has a process. Enjoy the ups and downs because that’s what you’re going to appreciate when you reach the mountain top.
