Pinning this so you know who thinks he’s running the show here.
If you like coffee, lifting heavy things, and trying to live longer - we’re practically related by @coach_aidanhunter

There was a time when Coach Aidan would drink a quarter bottle of Goldschläger wash it down with Devil’s Bit cider and head out for the night.

Chris and I lived together in college. There were plenty of takeaways, plenty of booze and looking after ourselves definitely wasn’t too high on the priority list

A lot has changed since then.

I stopped drinking over three years ago and I know I’m a better person for it. I’m also pretty grateful that Chris trusted me to coach him, because the version of me he knew back then probably wouldn’t have been much use to him!

Now, instead of getting hammered together I’ve had the privilege of helping him build muscle, get stronger, look after his body better and eventually turn up in ridiculous shape for his wedding.

And I think there’s something pretty cool about that.

We’ve come a long way since those college days and I quite like this era of us.

Looking after ourselves a bit better, getting stronger and still taking the piss out of each other.

Just with a lot more protein and significantly less cheap cider by @coach_aidanhunter

Built shit. Broke shit. Figured shit out.

10/10 would September again. by @coach_aidanhunter

For the past few months, we’ve seemed to tolerate each other’s bullshit pretty well while bringing this space together.

Including but not limited to: organising 1 million things, planning, meetings, 434 and counting “TBD” (to be discussed) tags in our WhatsApp chat, disagreements, more meetings, dealing with bureaucracy, lawyers, holding our nerve while waiting over six weeks to finally sign a lease that could have fallen through at any moment, looking for backup options, managing staff and clients, taking a trip to Ireland to organise equipment, kids’ holidays, workmen who didn’t show up, finding new plumbers and electricians, not knowing when we could actually get into the place and pretty much everything in between.
And somehow, we’re still talking to each other. 😂 by @coach_aidanhunter

Irish edition: getting your protein in. 🇮🇪🐮
Watch, learn, save & stick around. In an ideal world, this would be a paid partnership with the Irish dairy industry. 🤠 by @coach_aidanhunter

A few days later I met Brendan in the lobby of a local hotel.

We chatted through how online coaching worked, the app, the check-in process, how we’d structure his training, the accountability, and what he could expect from me as his coach.

Truth be told I really wanted him to sign up.

But I’ve never been into pressure tactics. In fact, I told him to go away and think about it for a week. If it felt like the right fit, brilliant. If not, that was okay too.

Brendan came back and said yes.

At the time, his first payment covered the coaching app I used to build his programme.

Last year, we outgrew that app and invested in a new one.

Now every client has their programme in their pocket, can send us videos for feedback, complete their check-ins wherever they are, and stay connected with their coach between sessions.

I don’t think Brendan ever realised that saying yes all those years ago didn’t just help him. It helped us build the systems that now support every client we coach. by @coach_aidanhunter

I possess a completely useless set of skills that nobody in the city would ever know about… unless you put a cow or a Massey Ferguson in front of me. Even then, my skills are questionable by @coach_aidanhunter

My client Brendan brought us coffee for after our session this week and we sat outside catching up.

Brendan and I coach online 90% of the time, so I don’t get to see him in person very often.

We talked about life, fitness, how cities can be incredibly lonely places and the importance of creating your own community.

Sitting there, I realised my in-person clients are a huge part of my day to day community.

Everything we’re building, our coaching, our team, our future, is centred around people. I want to continue growing that community.

A few weeks ago, I gave the closing speech at a storytelling night. The theme was Home.

I spoke about the unglamorous friction that comes with building something and how every person who takes a chance on you gives you a little more courage. Eventually, you become almost impossible to stop because you simply refuse to quit.

I finished the speech with these words:

The truth is, I left home years ago.
And I’ve spent a long time trying to find my way back.
What I’ve realised is that home was never really a place at all.
It was people.
And thankfully, I’ve been lucky enough to find them in more than one place.

The coffee absolutely blew the head off me, though. Cheers Brendan. ☕😂 by @coach_aidanhunter

It’s a pretty simple business model, really.

We take you in.
We get you stronger.
Being good craic is about the only requirement we have.

If you’re fed up wandering aimlessly around the gym, going from machine to machine without a plan, we’re only a DM away.

(P.S. She actually benching over 40kg. I just don’t have a video… I’m a coach, not a cameraman) by @coach_aidanhunter

We are a small team of coaches who help people build muscle, get stronger, and move better.

We coach clients in person from our studio in Vienna’s second district, as well as online through our training app, supporting people from around the world.

We work one-to-one with every client, meaning your programme is built around you, your goals, and your circumstances. Whether you’re a busy parent with a couple of dumbbells at home or someone with access to a world-class gym, we meet you where you are.

We’ve coached people through demanding jobs, young families, injuries, illness, and everything in between. We know the roadblocks that stop people from getting where they want to be because, over the last 13 years, we’ve helped hundreds of people overcome them.

When you have us on your side, you don’t have to figure it out on your own. by @coach_aidanhunter
