Everyone in my family knows how much I love coaching! Hands down one of the coolest things I get to do each summer! But yesterday was a blessing to watch 4 amazing young ladies take the circle and deal for their teams on elimination Saturday. They showed grit, resilience, and determination! Everything a young lady needs to take on the world after softball. Lari, Syd, Stuewe, and Hauny keep shining bright and chasing your dream! Love watching y’all compete!

Happy Birthday to this young lady that I met on her 21st birthday and still makes fun of the shirt I was wearing that day! Thru it all she has stood by my side, from peanut butter and ramen noodles in my college dorm room to crab legs in Fredericksburg tonight with our girls. I hope you enjoyed your 25th birthday today! Cheers to another 25! 🎁🎊🎉 by @coach_arod11

Would like to thank this group of young ladies for trusting me and my coaching staff this summer and competing agaisnt the best teams in the country. We didn’t win every game but when teams stepped on the field with us they knew it was gonna be a dog fight.

Some of these young ladies I had the pleasure of watching them compete since they were 12 years old and some I met for the first time at tryouts. But all of them gave me 💯 on the field. They are the grittiest bunch of athletes I have ever had the pleasure of coaching and I hope they carry that same chip on their shoulder when they set foot on campus next year.

We challenged them after the fall to buy into their craft and learn to be students of the game and the results showed as we finished up our season going 7-2 in Power Pool at the Sparkler. Beating some great teams along the way and unfortunately losing to our sister team late Saturday night in Colorado. The beauty of it all, is the story was written exactly how it should have been written. Watching some of these young ladies finish their travel ball career on the field competing against some of their best friends was almost perfect.

This group will be hard to replace in my eyes but can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the years to come with hopes to see the team text thread continue as they head off into college. For those that are coming back to finish what we started, time to get some rest and reload for the fall. Blessed beyond measure to be a small part of their travel ball career.

My best advice…

See the ball down, be on time, attack your spot, spin that shit, fight, compete, give me one more out, lets make a small adjustment, get it back on three, go pick the short hop, and don’t ever let anyone ever tell you you’re not good enough, caused you proved it this summer.

The road is never easy and sometimes it’s hard to see the lessons in life in the moment, but this coach is so proud of these young ladies. Keep working and good luck in Tennessee at the World Series!

Happy Mother’s Day to the woman that always put our daughtera interests before her own. Couldn’t ask for a better partner in crime to raise our daughters. Even when she starts talking smack to opposing players parents during a conference championship game. LTU parents almost saw the Raza come out in East Texas this weekend! 😂

I knew these two would do some amazing things when they got to ETBU. Two of the best I’ve ever had the privilege to coach! Let’s keep rolling into Regionals.

Had a chance to watch these two compete against each other this weekend. What you might not know is they competed against each other in high school, travel ball, and now college. Both kids understand that the Standard is the Standard and both had stellar weekends for their team, but this pic sums it up best.
