This is what happens when the “behind-the-scenes” spaces get the same attention as the rest of the home.

Custom cabinetry, integrated lighting, dedicated wine storage, and a layout designed around everyday use come together in this finished pantry.

Designed by Haven Valley Interiors.

If we were building or renovating a custom home today, here are five things we would not look past:

1️⃣ The team you choose.
Choose a team that keeps you involved, communicates clearly, and brings you into the decisions that shape your home.

2️⃣ How the home actually functions.
A beautiful space still needs to work for the way you live every day.

3️⃣ The spaces you use most.
Kitchens, primary suites, entertaining areas, and outdoor spaces deserve extra attention because they have such a big impact on daily life.

4️⃣ The details that are easy to overlook.
Storage, lighting, transitions, hardware, and smaller finish decisions can completely change how refined a home feels.

5️⃣ What will still feel right years from now.
Trends come and go, but your home should feel personal, timeless, and true to you.

Building custom or renovating gives you the opportunity to make every decision count.

Cliffs Vista is starting to show its personality.

From the outside, stone, crisp siding, and black windows set the tone. Step inside and it’s all about the light: floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, exposed beams overhead, and the first finishes making their way in, from the fireplace surround to a herringbone tile detail we can’t stop looking at.

Every custom home has a moment where it stops looking like a job site and starts looking like home. This one’s getting close.

Follow along as Cliffs Vista comes to life.

A final walkthrough worth stopping for.

Set within The Cliffs at Keowee Springs, this home brings together 6,000 square feet under roof, 4,200 square feet of conditioned living space, five bedrooms, and five-and-a-half bathrooms, all designed around the way our clients wanted to live.

Its Lake Keowee location played a major role in the design, with expansive views, natural light, and thoughtful architecture helping connect the home to its surroundings.

Architecture: MHK Architecture
Builder: Haven Valley Custom Homes
Interiors: Haven Valley Interiors

Every part of this home came together through one collaborative vision, from the initial plans to the final selections.

Now, we finally get to show you the finished result.

Ever wondered what a Haven Valley home might look like? Start with our own office.

Our showroom gives you a glimpse into the materials, finishes, and details we love bringing into the homes we build. From tile, countertops, and cabinetry to plumbing fixtures, hardware, and even a few unexpected features, there’s a little bit of everything here.

It’s a space where our clients can actually see, touch, and compare selections instead of trying to picture everything from a sample or photo — and where ideas start to feel a lot more real.

Considering a custom home of your own? Start the conversation with our team through the link in bio.

Clemson’s newest 14-home neighborhood is getting closer to completion.

The Preserve at Heatherwood has been specially designed to feel cohesive as a community, while giving each home its own layout, architectural details, and character.

Every home has been planned with its specific site in mind, creating a cohesive neighborhood while still giving each home its own architectural flair.

With the first homes nearing completion, we’re excited to share more of what’s coming together here.

What can make a great custom home building experience even better?

Having a place where the conversations can happen face-to-face.

Our newly completed Six Mile office gives our clients a dedicated space to sit down with our team, review selections, talk through details, and make decisions with everything in front of them.

And for many of the homes we build throughout The Cliffs and around Lake Keowee, we’re also just minutes from the jobsite — making it easy for the conversations happening here to stay connected to what’s taking shape on site.

It’s one more way we’ve designed our process around the client experience.
