What was just a regular day turned out to be one of the most important days of my life. Didn’t even plan it, but it was at the campus where I found Christ, and everyone who helped me find Christ, everyone who introduced the meaning of pursuing the gospel, and everyone who taught me how to fully embrace the love of god was right there in that moment. April 7th of 2025 where I decided to get baptized. I had no idea that there would be baptisms, but as soon as they announced it, god sent his Holy Spirit and he called me to make this decision. It’s a feeling that I will never forget. Giving my life to the lord, has lead to be the happiest I’ve ever been. This is only the beginning!

Thank you Part 2
Some of the hardest yet easily the best 6 weeks of my life. Thank you to everyone who attended this year and made this summer by far the best ever. Thank you Jesus for saving me and giving me eternal life. Thank you for the irreplaceable, never ending love that you have shown me and my brothers and sisters. Because of you I am who I am and because of you I am alive, strong, and restored.

A year ago today was what is to be by far the best day of my life. My rebirth day. There is no words that can describe how much my life has changed in the past year.

Growing up I found my identity in hard work, even though a lot of times I needed help but just didn’t want to accept it, and just wanted to have the good feeling for accomplishing everything on my own. There was always something that was not Jesus, such as attention, women, validation, self-love in the wrong places, and fulfillment in the wrong places. During high school my life was football, band, and money. And even though I had the chances to get to know Christ, I denied them all. All the idolatry just lead me to lose it all due to injuries and failures. I didn’t get to finish my last football season after SO much hard work due to an injury, and I wasn’t able to go to any of my dream schools because after a lot of hard work, working day and night in applications, essays, grades, and scholarships, the only school that accepted me was UNT, the last place I wanted to go to.

My first semester at UNT even though I did my best to keep it to myself, was nothing but miserable. I wasn’t happy, and the fulfillment that I could not find on the field or on the job I tried finding through parties, alcohol, and weed. My first semester at UNT I also got involved with a college ministry called campus outreach, but I really only attended their events and meetings to see people and to hear the word of God but not pouring my whole heart into it, and not living it out in my day to day life.

When I was playing football, doing band, being successful on the job, and even doing stuff like smoking and partying, I felt happy in those moments, but I was never fully satisfied or fulfilled and always felt like there was something missing, and always felt like I was not living my life to my fullest potential. I am nothing more than grateful and excited to see what lord has in store for me as walking with him has been the greatest decision I have ever made and that I will do for the rest of my life.

Thank you Jesus for saving me and calling not by my sin but by my name.
