Our 2026 State Champion Pom Routine. We are beyond proud of this one. The journey we took with Phantom made it one of the most special routines we’ve done as a program. From starting in July with our most memorable 8 count, to competing in 3 states, getting recognized with the Be Bold Award, getting some kinks out back at home, and editing until the final hour of our last practice…we ALWAYS looked forward.

D-Squad, you UNLEASHED!! This performance was next level. You are all incredible. Words cannot explain how much it meant to us that you gave Phantom your all for a full year. You believed. You worked. You gave a heck of a show. We LOve you forever.

Cheers to Coach Hayley and Coach Lauren for a killer routine! For always thinking about how to make it better and better every day and for believing in what we could do.

Laker Dancers, TAKE…YOUR…BOW.

2023 OSAA 6A POM STATE CHAMPS: Lake Oswego - Simon Says!!

As coaches, you always have a running list of songs and ideas in your head. I’ve had this “yo-yo” pom idea in my mind for YEARS. Knowing that Oregon was going to proceed with category State in 2023, I KNEW this was the year to make it happen. But, how do we even do it? When would it make sense? How do we bring a routine that pushes barriers? The pressure was certainly high. Then! A light bulb went on. We need a routine that commands the dancers what to do…but with a twist. That’s when SIMON SAYS was born.

Choreographing this routine with my fellow coaches @oliviaheisen @laurenyamaa @veronika_catman was a BLAST. Inspiration was through the roof! And once we figure out our Pom trick, we knew we had the potential to show the world something new!

All of the credit goes to my Laker Dancers though…they made this routine not only come to life but made it be a routine that will be the highlight of my coaching career. It was a HARD routine but they crushed it last night! Immediately brought me to tears when they finished. I can’t even measure how proud I am!! Thank you, D-Squad. I love you forever.

To top it off, this routine received the highest score I’ve ever gotten as a coach at the OSAA State Championships: 91.75!! I’m floored!! 🥹

Here it is!!

Routine: “Simon Says”
Choreographers: Me and my amazing coaches Olivia Heisen, Lauren Yamaguchi, & Veronika Catman!!

15 years later and still just doing it. ✔️🤍

On September 19, 2011, I became a full time employee at the Swoosh. Can’t believe that it’s been 15 years! Like what? Ah, so grateful to work for a company that constantly strives to outdo itself with every product, promo, and event. A company that obsesses over ensuring that athletes get the best in class gear so THEY can be best in class. A company that fully supports my crazy busy coach life. For that, I’ll be forever thankful.

Thank you Nike for an unforgettable 15 years. Cheers to more!

Still in awe. I had the privilege to speak on a panel to 600 athletes with 4 incredible women who are influential in women’s sports, and to say it was an honor is honestly an understatement. I got to share the stage with an Olympic gold medalist and FIFA World Cup Champion, a WNBA superstar, an All-American Sprinter, a UCONN volleyball queen—and then, there’s me?? Wow. 🥹

Thank you to Missy and Cayton Smith for inviting me to speak at this inspiring event. What you are providing to young athletes and leaders is priceless: the lessons, the knowledge, the advice…it’s everything. Thank you.

To all the girls in sports out there: Remember, you are not defined by numbers or your stats. Your kindness, your hard work, your determination, loyalty, and love are what will take you to the next level and beyond. Most importantly, it will also be the legacy you leave behind and what your teammates will remember about you the most. 🫶
