Cough cough we sit with CEOs sometimes (see slide 6). Just saying 🤗

But here’s the real lesson: those moments didn’t happen by accident. They came from saying yes to rooms that felt a little too big at the time - like speaking at an Exec meeting or presenting ideas to senior leadership.

That “yes” is what led to Slide 6: a strategy session with the Managing Director about what the business could be doing better.
Uncomfortable? Absolutely. Worth it? Every single time.

There is both an art and a science to juggling life as a corporate creative. Our 9-5 sharpens one part of us, our 5-9 ignites another - and both deserve to be nurtured. The magic is in learning how to switch gears, build systems, and still stay connected to the rooms and people that stretch you.

Because here’s the truth: your network grows in the same places your courage does.

Networking used to intimidate me.
I didn’t know what to say.
I didn’t know how to introduce myself.
And I definitely didn’t know how to talk about my creative and corporate sides without confusing people.

Everything changed when I stopped trying to “fit” and started getting clear.
When I owned my hybrid identity, networking stopped feeling like a performance and started feeling like a conversation.

Because networking isn’t about being loud - it’s about being clear on who you are, what you bring, and how you want to show up.
