TDEA 26.

Since becoming head director, I haven’t been training and taking class as much as I once was. 2 days of back to back dance was rough on my body but pure joy for my heart (but baby I was TIED). Picking up choreo quickly and retaining it has always been a struggle of mine. This year’s conference gave me such a feeling of accomplishment. Picking up and retaining the choreo in EVERY class I took. If you know me, I always say hip hop is not my thing (singing leaving it in undergrad), but I definitely felt more comfort in it and in the HBCU style class. Let’s go 2026! 😎💅🏾

Also, I’m choreographing a musical. Come see it. taken in Marriott Marquis Houston by @coachedbyran

Thank you once again to @texasthespians for allowing me to teach these amazing students last weekend at Troupe Day. I’m already cooking and looking forward to next time!

Shoutout to @mostlikelyjaniaa_ for assisting me and I can’t wait to see you teaching at your own festivals! And as always, special love to the home team, my favorites, @poseidonsplayhouse troupe #5864 🤘🏾 by @coachedbyran

Each week I’ve been doing different classes with my team to push their choreography retention and their exposure to different dance styles and just vibing. Which has also been pushing me with the combos. Today was fun guys and the duet at the end really set it off🤞🏽

A wise man once said “I like Drake with the melodies, I don’t like Drake when he act tough…”

…another man said Girls Love Beyoncé.

Thank you for playing with me @mostlikelyjaniaa_ @urgirlkayy_ 🤞🏽

A year of figuring out a lot. But one thing I can say, growth was had! This collaborative magic turned into my favorite officer routine! Absolutely love watching y’all attack this choreo! #CoachedByRan taken in Houston,Texas by @coachedbyran
