Today was special. In the Spring of 2014, I was blessed with the opportunity to come coach WR’s here. God has kept me here. I’ve coached thousands of kids in this stadium over the last 12 years. I’ve coached in it on sold out Friday nights and empty Tuesday mornings. Today I got to coach my own in the only place he’s ever called home. He scored his first TD. We got our first W. We see you. Most of us may not know what it's like to be your age anymore, but we see you.

We do know how badly we would've wanted to talk to our younger selves. To tell ourselves it's going to be ok. But more than that, to tell ourselves that what the world offers does not satisfy. Finally getting recognized, chasing a perfect body, getting more playing time, that college acceptance, a little more money, a better car, or that relationship - it may give you temporary pleasure, but it will not give your soul the true peace and real joy it was made for.

Only Jesus.

Don't wait. Don't put it off. He invites you now. Just as you are. And He will make you new. He's good. He will give you water that will never leave you thirsty again. Come taste and see.
