Proud Father Moment,

I preach to him all the time how hard work is going to get you to the next level. He had surgery on Tuesday and told me “dad I’m practicing Thursday and I’m playing Saturday” and when he touched that ball it was pure electricity. We still got some work left to do but that’s a next level run son as always I’m Proud of you 🖤🤞🏾

Dear Son,

They’re going to say you’re too small to play this game. They’re going to tell you that you’re not big enough to make it to the next level. They’re going to say the only reason you’re in this position is because your dad is a football coach. They’re going to doubt you, bet against you, and sometimes even hate on you.

But I want you to always remember this:

HARD WORK BEATS TALENT WHEN TALENT DOESN’T WORK HARD.

When they tell you that you can’t — put your head down and keep working.
When they bet against you — put your head down and keep working.
When they overlook you — put your head down and keep working.
When nobody believes in you — believe in yourself and keep working.

You don’t have to prove anything with your words. Let your work speak for you. Stay humble. Stay hungry. Keep God first. And never allow somebody else’s opinion of you to become your opinion of yourself.

God has you, Son. And I’ll always have your back. 🙏🏾‼️🏈❤️ by @coachggilbert
