Coach Spotlight: Niko

Niko has spent over a decade working in fitness, coaching, and youth development — combining martial arts, strength & conditioning, and personal training into a lifelong passion for helping people grow.

He began training Muay Thai in 2010 at Mejiro Gym in Orlando, Florida under Bobby Robare, before continuing his martial arts journey through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and striking over the years in both Florida and Colorado.

Since becoming a certified personal trainer in 2013, Niko has worked with a wide range of clients — from everyday people beginning their fitness journey to athletes, competitors, and youth development programs. His background also includes sports massage therapy, strength & conditioning education through Training For Warriors, and years of experience coaching both adults and kids.

Niko began training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2015 at Gracie Barra North Orlando under 6th Degree Black Belt Gustavo “Gutty” Muggiati and Marco Andrezzo, later continuing his training in Colorado Springs after moving to Woodland Park in 2018.

For Niko, martial arts is about constant growth — building confidence, discipline, resilience, and a mindset that carries both on and off the mats.

At ATC Fight Academy, he helps coach the kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program alongside Coach Tony while also helping build the gym’s strength & conditioning and striking programs.

His goal is simple:
to help people build confidence, resilience, and lasting growth both on and off the mats.
