Thoughts:
At first I was frustrated about not getting a RMU. But then I remember six years ago when I started CrossFit, I would have dreamed to even be attempting them. Plus as a weightlifter (ish), and being out injured for 8 months, it’s not exactly a skill I practise often.

So why are we always so quick to criticise our performance instead of acknowledging how far we’ve come?

Completing the pull ups unbroken and the C2B in two sets is something ‘2020-new-to-CrossFit-Kat’ would have been in absolute awe of.

We’re always moving the goalposts, always chasing the next target. That is probs what keeps the motivation high and probably why we become addicted to this sport in the first place. But it’s also why events like the Open matter so much. They give us a chance to reflect on our strengths, weaknesses, and progress, without being critical and giving up! Not to compare ourselves to others, but to keep battling our own goals.
