Several moves in two years. A fire that turned our world upside down. New home, new schools, and more change than two little kids should ever have to navigate. Through it all, these two have never stopped shining. ❤️

From four-hour daily commutes to the happiest little 10-minute scooter rides to school, I can’t help but look at them and think about how far we’ve come.

Now, watching them settled, making new friends, thriving in their schools, and finding their passions has been the sweetest reward. Jaylen is loving basketball and flag football, while Cecilia is dancing her heart out in hip-hop, jazz, and tap. Both embracing new experiences and lighting up every room they walk into.

Life has thrown a lot their way, but you would never know it by the way they show up in this world. The strongest little duo I know. I hope one day they look back and realize just how incredible they were through it all.

Here’s to finally being settled, happy little hearts, and watching these two become exactly who they’re meant to be.
