I drive through four counties, to a job I don’t need, to a paycheck I give back. It does not get better than helping young people with their dreams and unfolding potential. Blessed to work with Professor Claudia Martinez, Dr.Lisa Gates, and the amazing Leadership Studies students. Thank you for putting up with me and keeping up with me 💫. My fourth year in the San Diego State University classroom and excited about next semester! Seven years teaching leadership in various classrooms and 20+ years leading teams regionally, nationally and globally has prepared me. I am so appreciative that the students are gracious and grateful. Thank you! Their futures are brighter than they know💫💫🌏💫💫 PS included two examples of reflections from the students that are “fuel” in my tank! 🚀 by @coachmike274

A 3 foot height difference separates Reggie, a Great Dane, and Pearl, a Chihuahua…. The beauty of this world is we are all different. How boring would it be if we were all the same? Be distinctive - embrace it 💫 by @coachmike274

Excellent write up of the tremendous "Concert & Convo" event addressing student mental health featuring the band, Hooked Like Helen and led by Leadership Studies faculty member Mike Donohue and hosted by Leadership Studies students Zeynab Jasim and Tiki Burnes. We are most grateful for the thoughtfulness that went into every aspect of this event and the impact we know it had on everyone who attended.

Tomorrow is one of The Biggest days ever! 🎵🤔 This idea came to me in the middle of the night, and with the help of an amazing band, a supporting school (San Diego State University), and lots of helpers… we are going to do it! A “concert and convo” on mental health. Music, a panel discussion / q&a and then more music! 🎵❤️💫🙏 Thank you @hookedlikehelen by @coachmike274

…what a great definition. Laughter, affection and leaving the world a better place 🤔❤️ What is your definition of success? While you’re asking, ask this: Who are you? Who do you want to become? How do you want to be remembered… as a person and as a leader?🤔🤔🤔 by @coachmike274
