POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

THE GAME IS BIGGER THAN BASKETBALL. 🏀

The plays matter. The wins matter. The championships matter.

But the conversations nobody hears? The lessons taught when the scoreboard isn’t running? Those matter even more.

Every practice. Every timeout. Every conversation. Every possession is an opportunity to teach, lead, and make an impact.

That’s what coaching means to me.

Better players. Stronger people. Brighter futures.

This is THE NEXT POSSESSION. 🏀🔥

🚨 KENTUCKY’S CHICAGO ACTION IS A PROBLEM! 🏀🔥

One screen. One handoff. MULTIPLE ways to punish a defense. 😤

Kentucky shows exactly why Chicago Action is one of the toughest actions to defend in basketball.

🏀 Pindown screen to create separation
⚡ Dribble handoff to put defenders in chase mode
🎯 Shoot the three, attack downhill, or punish the overplay

The beauty of great offense isn’t always complexity. It’s forcing defenders to make decisions they can’t afford to get wrong.

COACHES & HOOPERS: How are YOU defending Chicago Action? Switch, chase, or go under? 👀👇

📲 Follow @thenextpossession for more NCAA play breakdowns, offensive concepts, and basketball IQ.

UCONN IS PLAYING CHESS WHILE EVERYONE ELSE IS PLAYING CHECKERS. ♟️🏀🔥

UConn’s offense is a MASTERCLASS in making defenses uncomfortable.

This is “CHIN AGAIN” out of the Princeton offense — where one action leads to another, forcing defenders to communicate, react, and make split-second decisions.

🔥 The backscreen threatens the rim.
🧠 The movement forces defensive decisions.
🎯 The next action keeps the pressure ON.

The beauty? The defense can do everything right on the first action and STILL get punished on the second.

👀 COACHES: How are you defending this? Switching everything or fighting through the screens?

👇 Drop your adjustment in the comments.

🚨 ONE CUT. TWO SCREENS. DEFENSE IN TROUBLE. 🏀🔥

The IVERSON CUT is one of the most effective actions in basketball — and there’s a reason coaches at every level keep going back to it.

Two screens across the top. One hard cut. And suddenly the defense has a decision to make. 👀

🔥 Chase the shooter?
🔥 Switch the screen?
🔥 Overhelp and give up an easy bucket?

Great offense isn’t always about complicated plays. It’s about forcing defenders to make difficult decisions in seconds.

🎯 COACHES: How are YOU defending the Iverson Cut? Switching or chasing? 👇

🚨 THE NEXT POSSESSION | UCLA CUT 🏀🔥

One cut. One defensive mistake. Two easy points.

The UCLA Cut is proof that you don’t need a complicated offense to create GREAT looks.

It’s all about timing, spacing, and making defenders pay for losing focus. 🎯

Great offenses don’t just move the ball. They move the DEFENSE.

📋 Coaches: Are you adding this action to your playbook?

👇 Drop your favorite offensive action in the comments!

📲 Follow for daily breakdowns of NBA & NCAA offensive concepts.

🚨 STOP RUNNING THE SAME PREDICTABLE OFFENSE. 🏀🔥

UConn’s ZOOM ACTION is a perfect example of how simple movement can create BIG problems for a defense. 👀

A little screening, precise timing, and constant movement can force defenders into tough decisions and create quality scoring opportunities.

🔥 Great offense isn’t always complicated. It’s EXECUTED.

🎯 Coaches: Are you adding this to your playbook?

👇 Drop a 🏀 if you want more college basketball actions broken down!

DUKE HORNS FLARE 🔥

Simple action. Multiple reads. Make the defense choose.

The beauty of Horns isn’t just the first action — it’s how many different ways you can punish the coverage depending on how the defense reacts.

Would you run this with your team? 👀

SAVE this one for your playbook 📌
SEND it to a coach who loves X’s & O’s.

🏆 THE STANDARD IS THE STANDARD.

Championships aren’t won when the trophy gets raised.

They’re won in the practices nobody sees.
The film sessions.
The extra reps.
The hard conversations.
The defensive possessions when everybody’s tired.

This moment will always mean more than a trophy to me. It’s proof of what happens when a group buys in, competes for each other, and refuses to lower the standard.

As a coach, I’m still learning. Still studying. Still evolving.

And we’re just getting started. 🏀📈

Max Effort. Positive Attitude.

Talent can win you games. Culture can win you seasons. 🏀

Great coaching isn’t always about X’s and O’s. It’s about setting a standard, demanding accountability, and getting players to buy into something bigger than themselves.

Coaches — what’s ONE non-negotiable in your program?
