Super excited to share this with you all, a couple weeks back I was asked to sit down for a quick interview with BeconTV, discussing my perspective on being a coach and what it means to me. There aren’t enough words to describe what coaching means to me or the impact it has had on my life personally, but I’m glad I was able to express some of it here. Truly blessed to be able to give back to the game what it has given me as well as help these young athletes achieve their goals and reach their full potential on and off the court. Thank you @avaraynn for all the work you put into this behind the scenes.

Man… What a season! Tropics 16 Elite are National Champions!!! Special group of guys right here, I’m truly blessed to be the leader of this group. Going 12-1 in 4 days of competition with 9 games going to 3 sets! Unreal display of heart, true character building moments and the guys prevailed no matter what adversity was faced. On day 1 before the gameplay began I told these guys to close their eyes and visualize us on the stage holding that championship trophy and I continued to plant that seed each day and when it was all said and done, that’s exactly where we were. Words don’t do it enough justice, just so proud of this team. A huge thank you to all of our tropics fam who were there in the moment and have supported us along the way. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to me personally the love has been overwhelming, but it’s only my 3rd year coaching boys club, we’re just getting started. 😈

(Also peep last slide, I was trying to make a tik tok couldn’t figure out how to do it so I just did the sound myself and the guys got me with the no celebration😂😂 I always got a trick up my sleeve, I guess the boys are starting to as well.) by @coachrob.vb

Man! Special group right here, blessed with the opportunity to have these guys going to war for me! Through all the ups and downs one thing has always remained the same and that was your guys’ love for the game. Lucky enough to coach Max and Jordan for 5 years and David for the last 2. The countless hours at practices, games, and tournaments. I will truly miss you guys, but I’m so excited for your growth and to see all that you will accomplish! I’ll always be in your corner and rooting for you. Once a bobcat, always a bobcat. Love you guys🤞🏼 by @coachrob.vb

Tropics 16Elite, what a winter season. Lots of moving parts as I was dealing with a lot off the court, but love this group of guys and their hunger. Always showed up ready to get better and learn, and responded strong in the face of adversity (most of the time haha) lots of growth individually and as a team excited to see these guys shine in high school season, and ready to get back to work for the winter. Proud of you guys, keep making me proud.

Year 2 at The Breeze in the books. Very tough season facing lots of adversity on and off the court but very proud of the overall body of work the boys put in this season. Major progress from the first day to the last. District Runner-Ups, Regional Quarterfinalists. Young team got a slight taste of the postseason, starving for more.
