The Heritage School! Wow, can’t believe it’s been a decade! You took a chance on a 23-year-old kid and helped shape him into a 33-year-old head coach. You taught me what it truly means to lead a program. Through all the highs and lows, we got it done! 2 state titles, 5 region titles, and 3 state runner-up finishes, what a ride. To all my colleagues, friends, and students, you are what makes The Heritage School such a special place.

Mrs. Skelly, thank you for believing in me. People say I did a great job leading our program, but it was possible because I watched you lead our school. You set the tone for what a Heritage Hawk should look like. You wanted a family atmosphere, and I’m grateful I had the chance to help build that.

Coach Copeland, thank you for trusting me to run the program. You gave me full confidence & support. From our daily coaching talks to you teaching me about football, I’m going to miss those conversations. Thank you, Coach!

Coach Chip, Mike, & Will, I appreciate all the time you poured into the program. You volunteered your time to help build future leaders. Thank you for everything you sacrificed for our players.

Coach Adams, the best athletic trainer in the business aka assistant coach 🫣😂! Thank you for keeping our guys healthy through the years. Appreciate everything you’ve done for our program Thank you, Coach!

To my former players, without you there is no Coach Joey! We accomplished so much together. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to coach you, even during the times we didn’t always see eye to eye 😂. The history you all created will forever be remembered at the school.
