Welcome to the team, Coach Sierra Simpson! 🏀💚

Charlotte Country Day is excited to announce Sierra Simpson as our new Girls Basketball Head Coach & Program Head!

Coach Simpson brings with her an impressive background of collegiate playing and coaching experience, along with a passion for developing student-athletes on and off the court. A former standout point guard and captain at Anderson University, she has coached at every level of the game, including stops at Wofford College and Lenoir-Rhyne University. Most recently, she led Davidson Day School to an NCISAA State Championship while continuing to impact athletes across the Charlotte area through player development and performance training.

Coach Simpson’s commitment to leadership, excellence, integrity, and relationships aligns perfectly with our mission here at Country Day. Her dedication to empowering young women as students, athletes, and leaders will make a lasting impact throughout our community. Please join us in welcoming Coach Simpson to Charlotte Country Day!

🏀 Basketball tryouts are right around the corner! Are you ready?

Making the team takes more than just having the skills. Confidence, communication, decision-making, and how you handle pressure can make all the difference.

Our coaches are sharing some advice to help athletes prepare for tryout day!

Want to take your preparation a step further? Our upcoming Try-Out Tune-Up is designed to help athletes build the confidence, mindset, and competitive edge they need to stand out when it matters most.

PlaymakHER 🔥

This clinic was about helping these girls see the game differently — understanding spacing, creating advantages on & off the ball, making decisions, and learning to trust themselves when the ball is in their hands.

Proud of the work these girls put in and grateful I got to spend a few hours helping them grow — as players and as young women.
