Thank you all for the beautiful messages and taking the time to send me positive vibes for my birthday! I am simply grateful to see another year! This year, I decided to set my intentions that will be my guiding principles over the next 12 months. As I researched what 46 represents, I found the following:

-46 represents balance between creating a stable foundation and embracing harmony. Focusing on nurturing goals, practicing gratitude and maintaining a positive attitude. The year of 46 will be about grounding, unconditional love of myself while allowing openness for my purpose partner to make himself known and balance. I am releasing all worries and following my spiritual path. My fresh start using my wisdom and experiences starts today. Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God” by @coachtcry

When I decided to go through Yoga Teacher Training, it was about my healing journey but also how I could help young people. Today, because of @balanceflowyogadetroit, I had the privilege of co-teaching yoga with @karlaevelynyoga. We only had young men and got some feedback about their thoughts on yoga. As true educators, we love our students. Karla showed them a beautiful video of a man discussing why he practiced yoga and how he believed the lives of others around him could have been changed if they had yoga. I followed up with my thoughts on how a number of situations could be different if we just learned to breathe. Today, I offer you the same opportunity…please breathe. As I walk around during savasana with my rain stick, I pray over the students that are in my classes. My prayer is that they would learn to follow their breath and yoga will become a tool in their toolbox. Namaste and Ase’ by @coachtcry

As I spent time at DTown Farm yesterday, in healing space with my people and providing services to others while running around picking vegetables with a beautiful young spirit, I was reminded of a conversation I recently had with my dad about time. We were discussing how busy this past month has been and now half the year is over. It’s not about if I have time but whether what you’re talking about is worth my time. by @coachtcry

I’m not sure of the solution and next steps but we cannot allow this young man to be lost to the system for 35 years. As I sit and think about this country and how the system is working the way that it was designed, what is our answer when this child is being sentenced this way but when our children are killed (shot in the back, killed in the street by law enforcement or in their own apartments) there is no justice!!! by @coachtcry
