There’s no trip home without my mom making pita, the beloved Bosnian pie. It’s always waiting for me on the table when I walk through the door.You can buy pita almost anywhere, but none will ever taste as good as my mom’s. I’m staying in the 513!I am VERY excited and extremely blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career at the University of Cincinnati!First off, I would like to thank my parents- thank you for all the time, money, and support you have given me towards this sport and for being there for the best moments and the hardest ones. I’m so grateful to have two amazing humans by my side! To my sisters- thank you for being my biggest role models. I wouldn’t be where I am today without you guys! Thank you for pushing me to reach my goals everyday! To my Tri-State and Seton Coaches- thank you for developing me into the player I am today and spending countless hours in the gym with me. I’m very grateful for each and every one of you. To my teammates- thank you for being my best friends and helping me grow in the sport I love. You make me love the game even more! Lastly and most importantly a HUGE thank you to @coachtomic , @coachzheng, @alisoncooke16 , and @sean_drexl for believing in me and giving me this opportunity to live out my dreams and play volleyball at the next level! Another Sunday adventure. ☀️The drive to Rabbit Hash, KY reminded me of home in Bosnia and Herzegovina—rolling green hills, winding roads, and beautiful countryside around every turn.From there, I crossed the Ohio River by ferry to Rising Sun, IN enjoyed lunch in Aurora, IN and took scenic Route 50 back through Covington and Cincinnati.A perfect reminder that you don’t have to travel far to find something new. ❤️#SundayAdventure #RabbitHashKY #OhioRiverTowns #SmallTownAmerica #ExploreLocal by @coachtomic

A year ago today, I was announced as the new Cincinnati Head Volleyball Coach. I don’t think I’m the only one who feels like time is moving faster — it truly feels like my UC press conference was yesterday.While the change hasn’t been comfortable (it never is), it has done exactly what stepping outside our comfort zone is meant to do — it stretched me, challenged me, and helped me grow. I’m so proud of the work we’ve done this past year and the visible progress we’re making as a program.But more than anything, it’s the people. It’s always about the people and the relationships. I’m deeply grateful for the new friendships and connections that have made Cincinnati feel like home. And I’m just as grateful for the old friends who continue to walk with me, support me, and stay in my life no matter where I go — proof that real friendships travel with you. I’ve surrendered to the idea that home is wherever my feet are — and wherever I’m building my tribe.Year one is in the books. Another life chapter written.
