25 days. 25 cities. 25 shows. No days off. I just pulled off something most bands wouldn’t even attempt—and frankly, I don’t know many who have. No breaks, no breathers, no coast days. Just load-in, soundcheck, full-force performance, teardown, travel, and do it all over again. Every. Single. Day.

I did the math. In the NHL, if a player logs more than 20 minutes of ice time in a game, the announcers lose their minds. That’s a big deal. I played twice that long—every night—for 25 nights straight. Hockey players play back-to-backs maybe five or six times a season. I just did 25 games in a row. And while I wasn’t body-checking people into the boards, I was smashing drums like my life depended on it. My body is bruised, my hands are raw, and my brain’s a little fried—but I showed up and delivered.

But here’s the wild part: nothing’s changed about me since I was two years old and first discovered my love for drums. I’m still that little kid banging chopsticks on a chair with a huge smile on his face, just loving the noise and the joy of it all. That joy is still why I do this—not for money, not for accolades, but for the pure fun of making music. So many fans came up after shows and said, “You look like you’re having so much fun up there—you’re just full of joy.” And I always tell them: that’s because I am. I show them that picture of me at two years old, beaming into the camera, and I say, “That little boy never left. He’s still up there every night.”

After a long hiatus, I’m returning to the stage to perform my own original music. I’ve done some open mics here and there in the past couple of years, and now it’s time to do a real show.

I’ll be opening up the night at @partsandlaborbar on Wednesday 09/23; also performing are @playtheoddsband @sandspitmi and @nicocarnago.

Would love to see ya. 🙏🏻 by @coalescekey

Spent the day reuniting and catching up with the ultimate incarnation of Bat On Fire, my progressive metal band from a while ago (2007-2012). It’s as if the years had never passed; the camaraderie and vibe was splendid, and we vowed to have at least one more boat day before the summer ends. 🥹 by @coalescekey
