What an incredible first day at the Melbourne Italian Festa & Expo!

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by the CO.AS.IT. stall to say hello, and to all our Doposcuola and Girotondo kids who sang beautifully in Voci Geniali. We hope you all had a fantastic day filled with great food, music, shopping and good company!

We also extend our sincere thanks to both the Victorian Government and the Opposition for their bipartisan commitment to providing increased support for the Melbourne Italian Festa & Expo.

If you missed out today, join us tomorrow, Sunday 18 October, from 11am–8:30pm (free entry) at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton.

And don’t miss what’s happening on stage at the CO.AS.IT. stall on Level 1 throughout the day!

40+ years of the Visitation Program! 💛

Established in 1985 by the late Sir James Gobbo, this program was born from a simple but powerful vision: no one in our community should feel alone. Last year we celebrated 40 years of that vision in action - volunteers sharing coffee, conversation and companionship with clients across the North, South, East, West and Hume regions.

Now in our 41st year, we're taking a look back at the celebrations for our 40th anniversary.

A huge thank you to our incredible staff and volunteers who make this program what it is.

Do you speak Italian and would like to join our team of wonderful visitation volunteers? Visit the CO.AS.IT. Melbourne website or call us on (03) 9349 9000 for more information.

Dall'Australia a Bari! 🇦🇺🇮🇹⚽

What an experience! Four of our CO.AS.IT. Doposcuola students have wrapped up their time at the Trofeo CONI in Bari, Puglia, where they played soccer alongside two young players from CO.AS.IT. Sydney, proudly representing Australia.

The Trofeo CONI brings together thousands of young athletes under 14 from every region of Italy, as well as from countries around the world with large Italian communities, like Australia.

Our young players gave it their all on the pitch, showing great teamwork, sportsmanship every step of the way and scoring some great goals.

Beyond the games, they made new friends, explored Puglia and connected with their Italian heritage in a truly unforgettable way.

We couldn't be prouder of each and every one of them. Bravissimi ragazzi! 💙

Un altro giorno tutto in italiano!

Last week over 20 Year 12 Italian students joined us for our second COnversazione ASsistita in Italiano (CO.AS.IT 😉): a full day of VCE Oral Exam practice with one rule: no English allowed!

Students conversed with different Italian speakers throughout the day in a day that developed fluency, vocabulary and spontaneous communication in a supportive environment with plenty of laughter.

Thank you to all the students who came along and gave it their all. In bocca al lupo per l'esame orale!

800 years on, St Francis still inspires.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for The Francis Effect, a lecture by Professor Michele Campopiano marking the 800th anniversary of the death of St Francis of Assisi.

Care for every creature and compassion for those on the margins. Eight centuries later, Francis's vision feels more relevant than ever.

Thank you to Professor Campopiano for his wonderful presentation and thank you to our partners, the Italian Consulate General, the Italian Cultural Institute and Monash University.

Last week, CO.AS.IT aged care support workers gathered at our Carlton office for a training session presented by Patricia, Registered Nurse and Clinical Home Care Team Leader.

CO.AS.IT is committed to the continuous improvement and upskilling of our support workers.

These evenings are designed to reinforce and refresh our policies and procedures, while workshopping real-life case studies as a group. The sessions were well attended and warmly received, reflecting our support workers' dedication to their roles in providing in-home and community support to our valued elderly community.

Would you or a loved one would like to find out more about our aged care services? Visit the CO.AS.IT Melbourne website or call us on (03) 9349 9000.
