What. A. Fish. Got my personal best the day before the Troutmasters tournament, any guesses on how big she was?👀 I will post the videos shortly. Got on the Baffin snook again! I caught two more, including this 24” one on a @coastalbrewbaits 6” White Flash Dart. My dad also hooked up with one but lost it. To top it off, I finished the day with a nice flounder on a 6” watermelon red which completed my Texas Super Slam after catching some nice trout and reds earlier that morning. by @coastalbrewbaits

Man what a fun week it’s been in the new boat! Several 25-27” trout every day this week. Wine and Dine 6” Dart has been pretty lethal. This is a limited color and will be at most retail locations by the end of this week! When they’re gone they’re gone. Back to the shallow stuff, thankfully. As we approach August we will start seeing more large mullet rafts up shallow over windblown sandbars, flats, humps, anywhere the bait feels they are safe(r) from the predators that lurk below during the night, which to a trout guy that’s about as good as it gets. Larger trout will be right there with them the first hour or two of the day, as this one was along with 2 others. By the way, this new color from @coastalbrewbaits is badass. Especially in off color water. Be looking for it! Rigged on a 1/8 oz 2/0 @texas_custom_lures jig. I’ve got a few days available next week and scattered throughout August. I’ve already posted this fish, but one of the thicker 30+” fish I’ve caught! No boga or scale with me that day so really have no clue on weight so yall can give me some guesses I’m thinking 9.25-9.5… fish was caught on one of the first trips I ever threw our limited color “Half-Baked”. I knew it was a killer lure from that day on! They will be at retailers this week and next week until they’re all gone!! Mr. Carpenter carving out another 28”+ stud trout that was tricked, yet again, by the 6” @coastalbrewbaits “Cock of the Walk”! A little skinny but that’s to be expected. This time of year I don’t really focus too much on weight because it’s simply not there guys. Most of these 27-30” fish we’re catching are weighing anywhere from 5.5-7lbs but that will go up as we get into the colder months. A 28” trout is still a 28” trout! Great job Wayne!
