Saturday, November 6th SURFACE AREA features three artists Karin Gielen, Susan Greer Emmerson and Fleur Thesmar. One of my all time favorite exhibitions at CCG. Lovely day in Newport, restaurant week! Love the way the sunlight and shadow creates her own abstractions.

From Cynthia ‘The Towers Series is inspired by the numerous industrial sites we have seen by boat. These man-made structures with an implied human presence, mysterious function, and reference to the foibles of industry, speak to me on several levels. I am currently exploring how linear marks linear structures can “hold their own” and gain power over the surrounding painted background.‘
