@coasterband is het Utrechtse folky slowcore-duovan Bart Appel en Paul Dijkman. Het duo, voornamelijk gitaristen, kreeg snel een band door hun gedeelde liefde voor rustige en langzame muziek. Geïnspireerd door de lo-fi en slowcore-acts van de jaren ‘90 en ‘00, vangen ze herinneringen en sferen en zetten ze deze om in intieme dreampop. Happy belated birthday to Painted Faces. It's been two years since it has been released. Thank you to all the many people we've met during these years, you've enriched our lives in many ways.

Special shoutouts to @immennimmen and @maxvanwesterop for always wanting to play shows with us, here's to many more! Big thanks to @tinyroomrecords and @dyingdutchmanrecords for releasing our music and believing in it.

There will be new songs coming this year and we hope you'll lend us your ears once more.

L'Orne
Raw Post Rock band from Rotterdam. Their bio states: L’orne evokes feelings of melancholy through their blend of doomy post-rock, ethereal slowcore, psychedelic noise-rock and anything that flirts with the unpredictable and the unhinged.
They are no strangers to our stage. They really had to improvise the first time because our mixing desk broke down. They impressed anyway. We are exited L'orne gets a rematch, now supported by all our equipment in full force.

Ineptitude
Hailing from Utrecht, Ineptitude was created as an alias for singer/songwriter Thomas van Neerven and his home recording projects. Since the release of the Monologues EP in 2023, the project has grown into a four-piece band of like-minded musicians with a passion for loud, cathartic music.
Together, they create an intoxicating soundscape that seamlessly weaves together elements from slowcore, emo, post-rock and doom metal. Their most recent release, 2025’s The Distance We’ll Never Cross EP, sees them exploring a sound that is equal parts vulnerable and punishing.

Coaster
The third band performing really ties the night together. Coaster, an Utrecht-based folky slowcore project fronted by Bart Appel and Paul Dijkman. They take influence from the lo-fi and slowcore acts of the 90s and 00s. The duo added a drummer and baseplayer and currently perform as a four piece.

Utrecht! We're excited to be back playing the fourth edition of the great shoegaze gathering of @come.in.alone.acu alongside dark dreampop goodness by @nevinmusic and hypnotic slowcore from @coasterband

Back when we played the very first edition of Come In Alone back in February we were overwhelmed by the amazing (sold out) turn up and the relentless energy you all brought to what would become one of our favourite shows so far.

SHOEGAZE: NEVIN, COASTER AND CRASHING

@come.in.alone.acu is the beating heart of the shoegaze scene in the netherlands. kicking off in early 2025, three sold-out editions have brought the best of dutch shoegaze to acu. what better way to close off an amazing year of shoegaze than with nevin, crashing and coaster?

this edition of come in alone will explore different directions in which the shoegaze and dreampop aesthetic is being pushed in the present-day scene. the night will start with a look to the slower, dreamier and more intimate side as created by @coasterband and @nevinmusic , and then close with a bang with @crashingcrashingcrashing high-energy, wall-of-sound shoegaze. bring earplugs, bring a friend or come in alone!
