Custom Theater Modified Boots

During WWII an often despised piece of gear for the American serviceman was the standard issue leggings. Many soldiers to avoid donning these daily (and to have a bit of swagger) would have their boots extended with a shaft by local cobblers in the regions they served. This has been replicated here with a pair of reproduction boots for a friend. taken in Columbus, Ohio by @cobblers_journey

1940s Women’s Nocona boots

Restored these for my friends @nathouser_
Did a complete rework of the uppers, did some patching on the shaft tooling, sanded dyed and burnished the heels and edges, and dyed and refinished the soles.
